new site design! because I'm so close to # 50!

Post by Radewagon »

After being prompted by one of my friends to mix things up, I decided it was about time to update the visual style of my webpage. Everything has been overhalled. So, let me know what you think (site or comic). Also, the extras page (completely empty) is what my site used to look like.
If you have any suggestions to better the site, please let me know while I still have the time to change things.

thanks for your time.

I like the design, very nice. I would, however, recommend changing at least the menu to the same font as the title; plain old Arial type looks kind of out of place next to the rest of it.

The design compliments the content well. I do agree with Bass Master Fei that the font that the menu is done in doesn't match what you seem to be going for in the rest of the page.

The strip itself is pretty funny, if a little bit minimal. The verbal gags work better than the sight gags, but that's a minor complaint. There' are quite a few quotable lines as well, my favorite is "Less talky, more bricky."

Nice touch doing the one comic with lego, by the way. It's interesting how Unmaksed Lego Spider-Man seems to be seeing the Hot Lego Chick from the reader's perspective rather than his own point of view.

Thumbs up from me.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Your 'Sin City Noir Film" comic was great!

I think your site layout is good, but it could use some polishing. Maybe change the font from Times New Roman like someone else said before me.

I'm definitely adding you to my favorites...

thanks for the responses. and now, watch as I make myself out to be a total web-authoring amatuer. So, ummm.... how would one go about changing the fonts into something that's not... y'know, crap. From what I understand, in order to use a "not crap" font, the other person viewing my comic would have to have the same font on their computer. So, how do i (without making an image file of the words in the font I want) change the font style?

If you can help, please help. i should probably post this in the help section. I should probably check the help section. (goes to help section).

and thank you for your nice comments.

I am not webdesigner or whatever but I think you should put the texts on a table and change the font to Verdana... Ok, forget what I said, I'm useless...

Man, my monitor resolution is set at 800x600 (I know it sux, but what can I do? This is the best that my PC can support), can you shrink the page a bit? I think there are still people who uses a 800x600 screen size beyond me...

I'm really sorry about the page size. I did think about that when I did it, actually. But the problem is that my strips are optimized at an 800 pixel width, so the strip, on an 800x600 would take up the entire window even if the window was the size of the entire screen. The page itself is optimized at 900 pixels. I don't know what else to say. I can only imagine that you run into this kind of problem all the time. And for that I am sincerely sorry.

I think I started reading this because of the effortlessly charming title. And I kept on a-reading because a lot of this (the Sin City parody--like meat) is really goddamned funny. Probably going to link this.

Just read all of it and I have to say I'm impressed.

While the humor might not exactly be rib cracking, its fresh enough to keep you amused throughout the entire viewing.

That and you portray it all excellently =D

again, thanks for the comments. Also, I now actually have stuff in what will hopefully be a large collection of extras in my ..... umm, extras page. Thank god I so aptly named that particular page.
