Seriously, nothing personal - just an observation - but it drives me nuts when people start disliking something that they previously liked just because other people start to notice it, too. Pet Peeve! (Even though I'm horribly guilty of this myself... It still pisses me off a little that BNL is famous now.)

it's not that it got too big to fit in my back pocket, i just have a short attention span and gain and lose interest in things at the speed of light. XD it doesn't help hearing strongbad quoted a million times on a daily basis, but i still visit and enjoy it; just not some of its...more devoted fans.

Well there's also the whole "sellout mentality". that is things get popular and so they get hooked up to slaves over advertising and people telling um which way to go.. and they have so many thing to fly through that the purpose and that which made it great is lost.

course there's also those that yell "sellout" at first glance of popularity that make me sick. but with everything there's a two edged blade.

I don't think Brothers Chaps are sellouts.

If they are, then when the Strong Bad Email DVD was released, they would delete the first 100 emails so people would buy the DVD.

And did they do that? No

Um, the website is updated almost every Monday, I believe. It's hard to make new animated cartoon every day, you know.

They're okay. They make me laugh sometimes, but most of the time I don't bother checking on their site because it's too much work for only a possibility of humor. I like Marzipan's Answering Machine, though.

Wow. And here I thought everybody loved Homestar Runner.

Ah well. I'll admit, it can be hit-or-miss, but I still find the site pretty hilarious. *shrug*

I liked HR better two years ago, before it became so self-aware and conscious of catch-phrase that it's almost as painful to watch as Saturday Night Live.

never said they were sell outs. I said I hate when people do the sell out dance as fans. if they were sellouts they'd be working for timewarner or something. *sighs*

every monday? are you on some other homestar website? as I don't see every monday. not even e-mail *which is my least favorite of the toons* updates maybe once a month.. or did until I got tired of checking it weekly.

course that may have changed since I was watching.

The creators of Homestar Runner went to my university. They sometimes come back as guest speakers in our Student Life Building. I've never been able to make it, though.

I didn't say EVERY Monday. Sometimes, they won't update for two weeks.

I think you get this problem because of browser cache. It happens to everybody, apparently.

I guess despising it for being stupid makes me a minority.
All I've ever seen of it is two or three of their animations.

some people do sell out. or at least go commercial and get all sucky. good examples include bad religion going to atlantic (of course also when they were at atlantic they lost brett butler who was a great song writer), or morrissey when they were at atlantic.

course some bands sound better on commercial labels like the cure.. first album off commercial label sounds horrid. but to each thier own.

Homestar Runner has teamed up with They Might Be Giants. Obviously, they are both horrible sell out bitches!
