Signup is okay, but Domain is missing.
I can FTP, but it appears that all my archives are missing. My strip has updated, but one of my readers mentioned not finding the navigation buttons. Upon checking, that's because there's nothing to navigate to.
Let me know if I need to reload my archives.

Obviously I'm not an Admin and neither do I really have any specialist knowledge on the subject, but all my archives disappeared too (to the extent that my index page had nothing where the ***todays_comics*** tag was) even though they still appeared on FTP, and for me deleting and reuploading EVERYTHING, then firing off a manual update, solved the problem completely. I can appreciate, though, how that would be really inconvenient for established comics with lots of pages.

Comic working, archives missing, FTP wonky.
I uploaded a blurb about what had been happening and posted it up for my (few) readers.
It seems you cannot currently FTP from a 3rd party program, just from the built in FTP. I wonder why that is...
Magius out.

The comics are all still there and everything else was fine. I was even able to update and today's update is there. What's missing are my little navigation links (the default ones I got when the comic first started, I don't mess with anything except for uploading new comics.) It'll show the new comic but none of the links for 'Today's Comic', 'Previous Comic', etc... are showing. ((Oops, forgot to put in the URL, that has been done now. Sorry.))

Are you sure all your comics are there? The reason the nav links have gone COULD be that there's no archive for them to link to. I think somebody earlier in the topic had a similar problem and that's what was wrong ... see if you can find their post and see what they did about it.MNg wrote:The comics are all still there and everything else was fine. I'm pretty sure they're all still there. I've just read the first five or so comics from about a year ago. Plus, when I FTPd in to upload the new comic, all the old archives were still in the directory. It's a bit bizarre I guess.Raiyuu wrote:

Ok, still no change, username still gone, signup still there, username still tikitak.
For us noobies, how does this affect new signups and domains? I've basically given up on the idea that I will be able to do anything for quite a while, but I do want to know what's going on.
Basically am I going to have to do much of this over again? Am I going to have to wait another week and a half for passwords and site verifications or three months for my webspace to get deleted or something like that?
Just hoping to find out whether or not I need to look for greener pastures.
(sorry to be pushy here, but my stress relief comic is becoming more of a stresser here)

I thought that was the problem, too. But I checked the ftp site, and the archives are still there. It's just the nav buttons that are missing. I went back to ftp, to see if the .gif images are still there, and they are. I've done a couple of full page updates, but still no nav buttons. This is just to keep you up to speed. I have confidence we'll get to the bottom of this.

All right I did post my problem in another thread, but since it appears to be related now...

I don't know if this is relevent but when I check the "public_html" folder the three comics which do show up on my site are in the main folder - while the other comics are in the comic folder. All the pages themselves are in the /d/ folder. So...I don't know if that's helpful or not.
Sorry to be such a pain. You're welcome to get to me last, I don't mind waiting.

Odd, just like hppire said when I I check the "public_html" folder the three comics which do show up on my site are in the main folder - while the other comics are in the /public_html/comic folder. All the pages themselves are in the /d/ folder...
Not only that, but when I try to press the First comic button that led me to the non existing http://mintwhelp.keenspace.com/d/1.html now it seems that this d1.html is comprised of a mess of my ThankYou Galleries, Common Galleries, and Story Page....
What should I do? should I simply reupload my whole comics? Do you have any suggestions on what should my side do?
