Wow, just wow Monday the 14th

This was just amazing, Ralph you have really outdone yourself this time. Bravo.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Yeah, I always find that the symplist of effects can realy make a picutre if done right. With the dialog especialy just makes this work to perfection. And I take it with squidge apering at the end, either he doubled back, or the millfoke are with him.

Fat Rac-conan

Well, Squidge has now revealed why the rats didn't finish eating Quentyn.
Rac-conan are high in fat content! :o I bet the rats were worried about their cholesterol.

Seriously, just a random thought I had (before seeing todays strip). While the rats inflicted a lot of injuries, unless they managed to hit something vital they aren't likely to be fatal. The rats didn't have enough time to gnaw through, so most of their bites are only surface injuries.
Painful as hell and bleeding a lot, but if he can get some medical aid unlikely to prove immediately fatal.
What's more, since the wights were'nt actually organic rats, it is unlikely he has to worry too much about infection. He's just gonna have a whole lot of scar tissue.

Especially after his mom gets a hold of him and finds out what sort of 'baby sitting' jobs he's handling. :o

Poor Quentyn definetly has a low opinion of himself.. "I threw my life away" indeed! :( Kid, you nearly went out in a blaze of glory. You faced a bloody horde, slew their king, and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! Nay, you ripped it out of defeat's very own gullet! Even if he had succumbed from his wounds, his death would not have been a tragedy, but a noble, heroic sacrifice.

...Sorry, I guess I've been reading my "GURPS Vikings" book once too often..

Hmmmmm....lessee here....A shadow rat chowed down on Q's right ear and here Squidge is a chompin' on his left.....iff'n he's got holes in 'em now, a couple o' nice shiney brass or copper earrings would really make him look the part of the swashbuckling hero.

Just kidding....Quentyn IS and forevermore will be a hero in the truest sense of the word.

A little off-topic, and a few strips late observation, but the black clothing looks nice on him.
Green is too obnoxious; I tend to dislike clothing in colors that are bad for stealth purposes, even in the context of someone who doesn't use stealth.

Hmm... truthfully, once I saw the "Did you ever know..." strip, cared more about seeing what happens after now, because I had guessed from there the basic happenings: he charges, kills king, then is unconcious. As predictable as a book or movie, since it's what always happens in them(or video games) at the equivelent of scenario and climax, even if I hadn't guessed Terror-Of-Shadow-Rats would wake him up, biting him on the ear.

Boogies don't have any streangth, their rubbery and flexible at the cost of it. I doubt squidge could have periced the skin never mind done any lasting damage, but by heck would that hurt!

You know, I just wondered something, looking at the comic again...
What's making the krunch? O_o
Last I knew, ears don't have any crunchy stuff in them, even in humans, let alone other creatures which have much thinner ears...
And, as Astral said, the Bogey is soft and amorphous...
It should say squish

Cookies and other things can be eaten without teeth...

And anyways, it was a rhetorical question turned to paragraph.

Catilege can crunch when you bite it. I've eaten enough Japanese food to know.

But seriously, How many of us are now going to thank Ralph by going to the Tip Jar?

Hmmmm?
