Doh! File in the wrong place.
Ok, so maybe I was tired at the time and hit the wrong folder to upload but...
Eh. I accidentally uploaded today's comic into the webpages section of my work folder instead of the comics section. Now, I went back, reuploaded the comic to the proper place and I got today's comic up just fine.
Now, my question is... how can I remove the accidentally placed comic gif file from my webpage folder? I've tried deleting it, moving it... it just sits there and does nothing to my surprise. Do I need to adjust the permissions from their original settings or something?

Check in your public_html folder for a copy of the comic. Autokeens moves web pages from /workspace/webpages to /public_html; there's a chance the comic may have gotten moved as well. If it is there, and still in the /workspace/webpages folder, delete them both. (both the COMIC IMAGES, not the folders)
If it's showing up on your main site and it's not supposed to, please post that and clarify... what you described sounds to me like you have this extra comic image sitting around that won't get put on your site but you can't get rid of.

Phalanx, I'm using the Web FTP (Beta) to the Butch server from the main 'gear' page. I can't get any other ftp program to work on this computer for whatever reason, so I have to use that one.
Gengar, your analysis of the situation is correct. I'm not getting a double comic or anything, it's just something I want to clean off my ftp area. I did what you asked, and surely enough, the gif in question is 'index of /public html' on the lower half, right above the index.html and rss.xml.
I tried to delete it there and like before with the one on the webpages area of the workspace, it sits there and does nothing. The gif is also still sitting in the webpages folder, no change in status nor is it deletable.

Heh. Of course, Phalanx. That's why I'm rather puzzled by this.
Theoretically, it is possible there's something about the link that my computer has some kind of problem with, so the problem might not be on the server's side. But even if that is the case, I haven't the faintest idea what.
Considering the gif in question is a mere 21k or so, it's not a huge problem here I'm thinking, but I'm worried if this is going to complicate things down the road when I need to add actual desired things to that folder, like a cast page. If it can be ignored safely, maybe that's my only alternative at this point.

Ok, this is interesting...
I got to thinking about how the certain functions wouldn't work, so I decided to see if anything else was like that. I found it does the same 'sitting there' bit when I tried to edit my index in workspace, or rename something. Maybe this is some kind of java problem on my side?
But then, why would it still allow me to upload comics? Somehow it must see it differently enough. I'm not tech savvy enough to rationalize the details.
