A non-IE browser you can try is Avant. I like Firefox better, but oftentimes things will work in Avant that gag over Firefox.

Avant uses the IE engine so many of the problems are the same. Mind you, it's still infinitely better, having both a pop-up blocker and tabbed browsing (if I recall correctly).
