ANOTHER excellent example that Quentyn can think fast under extreme stress.....how many of us would have though of this under the same circumstances? I don't think I would have.
And Zorro's got it......nice sabre-tooth Maine Coon Kitty.

Color me impressed. If ol' Squidge had tried that instead of making absurdly impossible creatures with unusable fangs and claws, he might have had more luck scaring kits.
It ought to at least startle the wraiths long enough for Quentyn to get the candle relit. And Squidge now has a -real- claim to a share of the glory.

Whoa, now that's a cat.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

You can fool some of the people all of the time
And all of the people some of the time
But you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Hey I live near Bradford PA, I can get him a custom Zippo made.Gildedtongue wrote:Oh, plenty, Flint, steel and Tinder are the best way to spark a fire, but what it looks like he has is one of those sparkers used on blow torches.

The flint-on-steel method has been used to start fires since the time of the Roman empire.

I'm not really sure if Squidge is really going to scare the "rats" with his trick: (1.) One of the first things they did was drive off the brownies. (2.) They weren't scared of Colin, who not only hunted their forebearers, but was bigger than them.

Good points, but Colin, at least, wasn't scary... dangerous yes, but dangerous can include stealth, stealth means NOT scaring your prey (because they don't even know you are there) Squidge OTOH can be scary, the fact that he is utterly incapable of backing up the threats he presents are perhaps (assuming the wights are unintellegent enough not to make the connection and think Squidge's current form to be an illusion or know how Bogies work or whatever.)CasVeg wrote:The flint-on-steel method has been used to start fires since the time of the Roman empire.
