By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth that was cool.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

"Newgrounds: The Problems of Tomorrow Today!"
Yeah, they're not exactly "kid friendly" in some areas. Think of it as the VCL of flash movies and games. Little bit of everything in there (and I'm not even gonna touch the "Crucify me!" thing I saw a while back... >_< I just knew it was sick and wrong...), some of it which would cause the censors to pull the plug on your download.
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

WikiPedia is your friend.
Some info not covered there though, is that it's an uncensored dumping ground for anthropromorphic art. I say dumping ground because while there's some jaw-droping talent there, it's by and large a lotta scribbles by beginners who think every little doodle should be uploaded, or angst-whoring teens uploading barely decipherable crap about self mutilation to get attention.
You're not missing out on much, espeically as most of the better artists have their own websites or other galleries in addition to whatever's on VCL.

Not entirely correct.
To get a site there you must first prove that you have a minimum of talent and that you can produce files in the approved formats. (.bmp files, for example, are frowned upon.)
I've been told that they won't allow anyone to upload .doc files any longer, but haven't tested it myself.
In short, you must upload 3 pieces of art(or stories) to a topic in the forum for approval.
Users who fills up their area with non-anthro art will sooner or later be tossed out, particularly now that they only have one server to handle the load.
I know this because I have a small area there.
(Nothing related to TOTQ, though)

Personally I have to say that his original concept seems a lot better than his updated one, more high quality Anime and less like cheesy Zelda. But perhaps it is too hard to animate... or simply the muse went forcefully in a different direction.
Spoiler alert (not to mention loads of philosophizing):
I find Quentin's comments about the fears the fight left him with to be very poetic and significant. See, the thing is that I can't see a ghost as such holding that much fear for Quentin... unless it is a Lux fear effect like that of the Wild Hunt. No, what would leave such a lasting impression on him, even among the other deadly battles he has probably faced by that point is fear of eventually becoming like Steyer. The fine line between the skilled warrior without permanent mortal allegiances fighting for the right, and the one for whom skill is its own goal entirely, without consideration for wider impact/morals. The gradual slide where the hardening against the pity for an enemy in the middle of battle that may leave the innocent without a defender becomes a coldness to all life, leaving only the thrill of a battle fought with superior technique. To desire excellence is a virtue (else every Black Belt, etc would be a degenerate), to seek killing for its own sake is a grave evil. These are thoughts that would put fear in the heart of a survivor of many battles, who has already come to terms with the fact that one day Yeshua may say "Well done, good and faithful servant" and provide for the blade of a villain to find his heart, rather than 'protecting' him.

Most simple web censors work with the IP address of the site. Any IP that has been flagged has having porn on it is blocked.starfury wrote::'(

But many IP addresses host many different sites in many different directories. So you often get blocked from seeing some nice stuff because somewhere else on that hard drive there is porn.

Response from the Animator (me!)
Well, well! I was informed by yuoofox that Mr. Hayes has been viewing my animation. I didn't believe it at first, but he pointed me to this post and I was quite surprised! (in the good way. :3 ) So I decided I should probably say something about it now that people know...
It's kinda flattering knowing that Mr. Hayes had managed to find my little collection of concepts involving that story-to-be. I hadn't really planned on saying anything about the project until I was done, but since things sorta went into a standstil for a long time, I felt I should at least let somebody see it. I wasn't really expecting a big following with this "Concept Compilation" I made. But then, I never expected much of a following after making "Mega Man and the Pompous Robots," and, well, there you are. X3
Still, it did leave me with something to partially work off of. As I assembled it I came up with those newer designs, which at least appeal to my eyes. These days, I'd still figure they'd need some minor tweaking. As to how I'd animate it...it might be almost the same as how the "Unfinished Project" was mostly done...primarily drawn frames. It should be easier for me now though; back then I was just using a mouse to draw that stuff. Now that I have a tablet, it might make things easier. Might.
When do I plan to get this made? I don't know. Will I ever get this made? I don't know that either. These sorts of impulses to animate something just sorta happen, but they tend to be so short... I was amazed that I ever managed to get the Pompous Robots done at all, let alone in about a month. But the idea is still in my mind, amidst several others. I do hope that I can get started on it again, and hopefully come up with some positive results. Ambitious, maybe, but at least I know somebody will be looking for it. :3

P.S. For those of you who don't know, there was a little bit of hidden content in the "Concept Compilation." Literally! There are four spots you can click on in the words "Concept Compilation" to find four other pictures loosely relating to the project. (Oh, and check the medallions too!)

Yes. Apparently, the word "whimsical" here translates foremost as "It ain't crazy enough! Hit the red button!"
Nice animations and such, and welcome to the board! It just makes me want to do that sort of thing even more...
So put up your feet, hang up your coat... and track as much mud as you want.
