The file formats would be identical to the previous sampler.

If you're working on normal printer paper (A4) then you really need to be working at 400dpi minimum. Final comic size should be 3000 by 4500 pixels.

Well, I'm probably in. The only remaining question is...
What's the time frame here? I would've assumed such a thing would be yearly (and preferably before free comic book day for obvious reasons). Are you just getting in early or is it half-yearly or what?
I'm not intending on plugging my comic until the end of the first story for... Well, let's just say it's for more reasons than just making sure I have a reasonable amount of comic for people to read. If the sampler is released after then, I'm in. If not... I might be in, but I'll have to think about it.
But I will certainly catch the third one if I don't this one.

I can see where this would confuse you.RemusShepherd wrote:I'm completely confused as to what is a Jam, what is a Sampler, and what is a Collab.
With that in mind, I think I'll sit all of them out until I understand what the hell is going on.
Sampler: A collection of snippets from existing comics. Basically you take 3 or so comics from your existing comic and put them up. This collection is then printed and distributed by us as a way of advertising our comics as well as keenspace in general.
Jam: Kind of like a comic improv session. Someone starts something and others add on to that. There is no planned plot which is half the fun. These usually go on untill we grow bored with them and kill everyone off in a flurry of fire and dancing ewoks.
Collaborative comics: A single comic story that has many spacers working on it. This can take many forms. Either we can have a single writer, a single character designer, and a single artist. Or we can split the job up farther and give each person a 3 page spread or so. This will most likely be the case with us. The difference between this and a jam is that this is largely planned while a jam is not. The end result is basically something cool that you made in print form.
Hope that helped.
