Looking for a forum recommendation

Post by Mind Pollution »

I'd like to ask those more familiar with such a thing...

I've looked over the various recommended forums in the Cadet guide, but I'm not really sure what the general opinion of them is. I also found them a little vague at times, in regards if I had to pay for them or not (except the basic Tagboard, which was evident to me) or simply request one and shoulder an advertisement on it.

I'm not particularly looking for a Tagboard (not my cup of tea), but if anyone can assuredly point out a free forum of this general style, I would be appreciative. I wasn't clear if something like those on Talk About Comics were free or you had to pay the virtual hosting fee, as an example.

Thanks. -MP-

I've been using Proboards (http://www.proboards.com) and while it's not the greatest, it works well enough and is pretty easy to use.

As far as I know, all the ones linked in Gear are free.

Thank you very much, Phalanx. I decided to go with the one from Talk About Comics. I had to be sure, lest I go over there and sound unintentionally arrogant.
A little too honest, unlikable, doesn't talk much, obscure... I have so much to offer!
