What do you mean the sample templates don't even work? You mean the pre-made ones like Ocean Blue or Charcoal?BassZX wrote:Put in some more html related parts. It took me forever just to figure out that the sample templates don't even work.
(I was planning to put those in a zip file for convenience too)

I guess, well, you might put in a bit about how to cancel your account...
I am serious, though...

I could write up a tutorial on how to get Blogger to work on Keenspace (for an easily updateable news section) and not violate any rules that I know about (read: and still have the ads and the line saying "HOSTED BY KEENSPACE"). For an example, you can check the news section of my comic.
Should I?

They work. You might consider changing your URL on them (since you have a URL now), depending on whether you are going to keep it. Currently it trips a flag in the old link checker.Phalanx wrote:What do you mean the sample templates don't even work? Stupid, minor suggestion: Make the Keenspace Gear logo graphic's background transparent instead of blue. Some browsers don't interpret colour codes and colours in images the same way and the colour of the graphic and the background behind it appear to be slightly different, putting the graphic in a blue box.
I also notice that the Captain's log is a bit sparse. It does mention tutorials so, if you like, I could email everyone on my tutorial dropdown and ask them if they'd like a link there. Amber's is a particularly good one for beginners, I think.

Received with thanks.
Yes, I'll change the logo and add the other details to my list of things to do. I do know how to do transparencies but it was one of those things that slipped my mind.
So many things seem to be doing that lately, no wonder I have to keep writing things down.

Tada!
Gear is about helping people with keenspace problems. The gear provides templates, and that's all that's needed really. It's to give you an understanding of how autokeen works, and how to use it properly. It's not there to teach you how to use the internet.

Are we still allowed to make requests here for yet the next update, whenever it's scheduled?
This is a pretty obnoxious thing to request, but I have a large screen resoloution, and some of the text is hard for me to read. The links on the side of the page, specifically--that colour of blue is actually really hard to discern on the black because the two of them contrast so much.
In theory, one could just mouse over the links to highlight them, but this is also annoying when you're skimming for info quickly.
I know it's a petty thing, and I wouldn't have whined about it normally, but while we're on the subject of improving the site and all.... besides, my eyesight is fine, and I don't have THAT big of a resoloution, so there may just be more people like me out there. =P
