I think I've acounted for how Rayne was transformed and things now. RH mentioned something about chaos storms and it gave me an idea on how things could work. Any coments on this would be grately apresiated.
Chaos:
In all universes only two things remain the same, order and chaos. All matter, living or none living, strives to achieve balance and in the processes produces both energies of order and chaos. In the quester-verce, the remainder of order is the lux and its magical derogatives. Chaos however is always the same, a random null force that though boading increadable power, cannot exist within a universe without a storage method that keeps it seporate from the effects of order. Normaly the energy of order is required to conflict with that of chaos, achieving balance and thus creating more of each kind of energy in a never ending cycle. The remainder of order keeps the movement of space and time to running smothly while chaos is disperced into the reagons outside the univerce where it colects in clouds of psyics-null matter called chaos storms. In this way, most chaos energies can not exist without being contained in an instrument/artefact, as it dose not naturally hang around in the matiral univerce like order dose. The energies of chaos and the techniques around its manipulation are aptly named

Off the top of my head:
Well, that seems unlikely to be even close to canonical, but you would know better than I would. Still it seems reasonably workable. I also wonder how such effects would appear to mage senses and how widely the knowledge of how to dispel it is (just because it is easy if you know how doesn't mean that most people would know how... unless that works the same way as it does with countering a Lux effect). I would also say that you might want to make it a completely seperate field of study from Lux as far as actually USING it, and/or make the ability to manipulate it more a seperate trait (which would help further explain why even mages who 'go bad' in this society don't use it).

It seems it would be a reasonable assumption for the characters to make that the storm would delay the wizard Rayne from leaving for Sanctuary. Also(if I remember correctly), since Sanctuary is NORTH of Freeman Downs there might seem to be some hope of 'intercepting' the wizard on the roads... and the Luft ships might be grounded until the owners are SURE that the weather wizards have it back under control (since this storm wasn't supposed to happen in the first place!).
