What the...

Post by Sparafucile »

I leave town and ready internet access for two weeks and there are five new comics in a row? That's unkind.

Somewhat related, I spotted a rubber chicken tie, Jeremy, but couldn't remember if you already had one, or if you really wanted one.

And rather unrelated, Top Cow has started putting out new issues of Rising Stars! There was a new one as recently as December. Now I have to figure out how far behind I am.

Superheroes are fun.

They weren't in TPB yet, these were new comics. The TPB didn't keep the numbering from the comics, so I'm not sure what the last book released in TPB is, which was why I didn't just start buying up the books I'd found.

I wonder if this means Straczynski has worked out he Rising Stars movie issues he was having.

A Rising Stars Movie would be interesting. I wonder who they would get to play Elizabeth Chandra?

Did you hear anything else about the B5 movie?

I don't know, but I can guarantee you that at least 1/3 of the fans will hate her... I'm trying to decide if it'd be cool or really stupid if they got multiple women to play her. I'm leaning towards stupid.

I'm still rather afraid of a movie adaptation just because of how willing to fuck up JMS's script the studio was.

Nope. I only know about the Rising Stars stuff since I saw some of them in a comic shop this past weekend. I brought up the movie because that was why JMS stopped sending scripts to Top Cow.

Latest word from JMS is that WB is trying to "screw with" the casting for it. Don't know what that means.

Grrrrr... There have been two comic releases lately. But there are four others that came after the last TPB and that are close to a year old. So, if I can manage to find them, they'll cost a decent sum of money.

Again, grrrr.

Er. Yeah. it was only the last three issues or so that JMS was withholding.

Yeah, the first two books were each eight comics. Issue 21 and 22 just came out. The Source had 18, 19, and 20 in back issues, but no 17! Grrr...
