Oh, the Chiroptera and the Carnivora aren't that distant from each other; and we're both hunters, after all. A certain affinity of thought is to be expected.

...fursonally, I could REALLY dig it!

Are you Chiroptera Rodentia or Vulpina.....the Amazon Fruit Bat or "flying fox"? A friend of mine has one for a pet and he's absolutely georgeous! And his wingspan is just at 6ft!!!

Well, except for the height thing you could be describing Detect G. (can't remember how to spell his name). And some of his other attributes more than make up for the lack of height in my person opinion.

And you're absolutely right....he IS a VERY cool character. I especially love the 'Shadowform' and fire breath.

"S'aaruuk" is a character/fursonna I created 'way back in my 'Star Trek RPG days. He's a 'good guy'. I spell it with an 'h' because passwords and logon names with punctuation symbols give most servers/sites fits.

Well, obviously a Megachiroptera sapiens...

But I take more after the sonar-equipped insectivore bats. I agree with that assessment of the flying fox fruitbats as attractive, though. Love 'em.

Philly Zoo has a cage of two types of fruit-bats that they've trained to eat in the morning after the zoo is open. They're a trip.

One of the engineers of the forum throws in his two cents:
A thermostat controlled electric blanket type set-up in the shape of a coat or full body suit, worn under the rest of the clothes, with a belt full of Nickel-Cadnium(sp?) batteries is one solution. Another is to have a remote control for your car that cranks the engine and starts the heater going full blast, then wait 15 minutes and RUN for the car (you have a few minutes I should think, especially if you insulate well, but best not to take chances with something you have to do a few times every day). If this is true then I would imagine that they are legally permitted to use the handicaped parking spots if the temperature is below 60 deegrees or whatever.
