if it's decent for us europeans i can play without problems.

I'd be more familiar with D20 system, but i played chtulhu back in the old times when it was d100, i just need to get used to it again.
sorry jops, your post got lost between my two.

While I cannot speak for everyone I can tell you when we used to play.

most of our games were on fridays and occasionally mondays or saturdays, they begin anywhere between 7-8 PM CST (not sure what your time zone is), knowing that you guys are forward of us this would probably put you sometime at night or in the early morning.

However since the ideal game is on a friday or a saturday it should be no problem at all to push the game time forward by some hours and play into the night if you've got no complaint to getting up a little early to play.

alternatively we could try and play the game during the afternoon and into the evening on saturday or sunday putting you into the region of decent hours.

If you (or mooman, or anyone) have some conflicts with these hours just tell me. Me and DC will try and work out a good schedule, we try very hard to be flexible and allow everyone to get in on the game.

:( don't be too hasty, like I said its quite possible for us to play during the day saturday or sunday instead of in the evenings. We mostly picked friday evening because of my work and the fact that faub was unavailable weekends.

Other way, actually. CST = GMT-6.

I've only played Cthulu a couple of times, but it's fun as hell. Especially when you're trying to loose.

"Okay, I think I'll go into the room with the bleeding walls and pull out the Ouiji board."

That was my girlfriend who said that, by the way. She wanted to get credit, and we're in bed right now, so who am I to argue? ;)

Okay,

The time of the dark conjunction is nigh, the stars are aligned following the shifting of the new year. We've got game.

Okay. Derenge, phactorri, and CW should have all gotten emails on this subject already, but the game is now scheduled loosely for january 3rd, with no certain time as of yet.

This is where you guys are important.

Mooman, are you still available? If so then schedule a time with me so that I can help you make a character and roll your attributes.

Jops, do not give up your dream!! After all mooman is a crazy foreign person as well, but we're letting him play.

Okay if either of you can make it I will discuss scheduling with DC, and if either of you could provide a schedule of when you'll reasonably be available just let us know.

The point is that in the weekends i'm busy already, so i'd hardly find the time to play more than once or twice.
I'd be available during weekdays, almost every evening, but that would require you guys to play in the afternoons

well i gotta say weekdays would be the best IMO cause its gonna get in the way of the DnD game when it starts as well. for those of us playing in both.

not so sure about this weeks game myself. I'm gonna try to make it but my GF's staying at my house this week so I guess we'll see how that goes.

I would love to play, but time constraints might make it difficult...

uhm, is familiarity with the rules required?

for the most part i havent done much RPGing recently, save for paranoia, because it tends to run as one off games rather than campaigns (everyone has usually shot each other by the end of a game)

actually, thats a lie, weve been trying out this fun hybrid RPG/tabletop skirmish game called Inquisitor. you have your traditional pen and paper RPG campaign, but its also got a hyper ridicu-detail skirmish miniatures battle system (right down to being hit in various bodyparts etc). its kinda fun, dunno if it would last though, the rules are kinda fiddly, and by its nature when you are doing the tabletop parts, you have to largely follow the rules. (how many pen and paper games does the GM allow a failed roll to pass, when the players come up with something interesting?)

Shinedog, Chill or me can give anyone who needs it a quick primer on the rules, which are very simple. When we played the first time only RK and I believe faub had ever played the game before. The system is very simple (called the Basic system) and essentially comes down to a 1d100 based percentile system. If you have a handgun skill of 40% then you have to roll a 40 or less on a 1d100 to hit in an average situation. It's not a very crunchy rules game.

As for the rest of you, we're willing to change schedules for player convenience but we do need a solid yes or no before we do that.

If you can play on mondays or wednesdays afternoons (so my evenings) it's a yes for me.

Everything is up in the air right now, so the possibility of playing at noon here in the states isn't out of the question. So we'll put Jops down as a yes for now. If we get enough Europeans to play, we'll just kick out the state side players since we don't care who we kill so long as there's a high enough body count.

well, seeing as how the game is planned for monday we should probably indoctrinate Jops properly.

So, we'll be starting at noon I guess, which won't be a problem for me and probably phact and CW are still on break as well so it shouldn't be a problem for them unless they have plans otherwise.

So, Jops. If you can stop by the main Keenspace chat room at some point, I should be there and I'll be able to help you roll your stats and make your character, although you've played before so you probably know the drill fairly well.

I imagine we'll do this game like we played the last one, we'll meet in a newly made chatroom, probably something like #keencoc or something, with a rollerbot to serve as dice.

EDIT: If I'm not in the chat when you stop by just leave a time when you'll be available posted here.

Your game is fun to watch, even if it does take you an hour to decide to go through a door :D
