Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

I personally don't think the text is that small, but oh well. I woulda linked to it but the Tribune requires you to sign in to actually look at it on the website for some reason.

Basically, German Scientists have discovered that vegetables feel pain and emit tiny sreams that we can't hear. He makes some funny comments, and a mere synopsis doesn't do the weird imagery justice.

Scientist recorded plants "screaming" in pain from being damaged. Vegans need to consider that plants have feelings, too.

And then eat meat to avenge the plants eaten by cows.

We'll just have to turn to the far more humane art of hunting Vokkels.
Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.
