So I was reading a hulk comic today (from the 90's) and totally cracked up by this plot.
So see there's this guy called bi-beast who lays his hands on this talisman of power called... The family jewels. here are some panels from said issue....

In this panel the villian explains a bit about the item

Really i added this one in cause it was funny and it proves "sexual innuendo" is used in this issue, and they know what they are dealing with yet they -still- use such a badly named item.

And here is little timmy finding bi-beast's family jewels. I think he's infatuated.

so.... im still unclear, you say these ARE real, but are they REAL real?
i mean, im seeing bagged copies of supermans pal jimmy olsen being exchanged on comic book exchange, so the comic is real, but none of the photos are of any quite as bad as the ones im seeing here..
so...
is the whole thing some elaborate photoshop joke?
Jaw droppingly large strawberry desserts.

Nope. Sad to say, they are really real. But I believe that they were, for the most part, considered imaginary tales, so they could do just about anything they wanted in both Jimmy's and Lois' comics without messing up continuity.
As for the Hulk comic . . . since it was from the 90's, I'd bet that it was most likely written by Peter David. And if that's the case, the innuendo was definitely intentional. The good Sir David is quite (in)famous for the intentionally bad jokes that weaves throughout his work. There's one issue of the Hulk that he wrote wherein Hulk's blonde wife Betty started a new job as a telemarketer (or something like that), and the person sitting in the booth next to her was a black-haired woman named Veronica.

Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.
