I just got my comic for the SS and I'm distraught. The comic has a radically different sense of humor than mine. I think I am going to be stuck for ideas.

well, i got mine. and it's a pretty decent comic. so i'm happy. however , the universe, in a whim of doing poetic justice, has assigned me a person who has as many pages as i do. 200 plus! well, that's what broadband's for  let me go finish reading that comic and sharpen my pencils

Well, I'm happy with the one I got: similar style, similar story, and just enough archives to get a feel for it without having to spend most of the month wading through them.

Things are looking great, and they're about to get better...
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

I encourage people, when they do fan art, to do an "alternative page" ---to redraw one of my pages in their own style. Some of the best ones I've gotten are in anime style, which is VERY far from my own style. One example is http://mindmistress.keenspace.com/altstolen5.htm.
I'd love for alternative pages in any style---heck, even a sprite comic would be interesting, although a lot of trouble.
Come to think of it, my Secret Santa gift last year was a GORGEOUS rendition of MM and Lorelei and Vicki, in Anime style. You can see it here at http://mindmistress.keenspace.com/mmsanta.htm. If my gift this year is HALF that good, I'll be pleased.---Al
PS. Oh, and on both you can click the image to go to the original artist's page. Thanks, both of you!

I got someone I've already drawn for, but oh well. I'll make a prettier guest comic, maybe a guest comic AND Holiday fanart. Most exciting.

I have only ONE requirement for my secret santa.

Please don't be a deadbeat

Incidentally, I've already drawn my secret santa parody comic. I swear I am too enthusiastic about this

I think I've got a relatively okay fan art sketched up for my person. Relatively okay being a subjective term, of course.

All such statements are essentially contentious.

Mine's all drawn and inked, just need some scan and colour action.
I got a good comic too, maybe I'll do two for them.

Done the day I got it.

I actually wanted to do a little more with it, but if I'd tried I wouldn't be able to finish any of the other things I have lined up over the next two weeks. Between work and Keenspace, I don't have time for my comic :(

I'm still crawling through mine's archives...

...but I like it, and it shouldn't be hard.

Now that I've gotten one with a big archive, though, I sort of feel sorry for the person who got me, with my dinky archive. :-?

If you don't get it within the next day, you should try emailing the one in
charge. It would be most unfortunate if you somehow got left off by accident.
Check what your spam filters are set at too. I sometimes get real emails in my junk folder.

I have an idea all planned out, but I haven't been able to draw it due to the giant knot in my back >.< Plus mom will kill me if I draw something before we get a desk for me. We're getting one at the end of the week, fortunately.

I've manage to come up with some ideas, now I need to come up with the time to draw them.
