Beatles are all the proof I need for that.

I fancy Pixies. Didn't take time to listen to them properly yet.

And this thread is proof that I'm not on this forum often enough.

I keep hearing about the Pixies, but have failed to hear anything by them. Methinks I should fix this. But first I gotta get the new Ted Leo and the Pharmacists CD. :D

Yes, listen to the Pixies. That will make you cool.
And listen to Frank Black's first solo album, and stop there.

Guess I'll have to check it out, for fear of being lynched otherwise.

And yeah, Ted Leo's "Shake the Sheets" came out October 19th apparently.

Edit: Um... which one should I listen to? They've got a bunch.

They're cool. Proof that even in Texas people hate Bush.

Disclaimer: No political discussion! I am not starting a flame war!
That reminds me of a funny brief story, I got to interview Gabe and Rory of the Austin band The Impossibles and Slowreader. At this time (it was like at least a year ago) I asked how they felt about current politics and gabe said "Being born and raised in Texas, I vomit at the fact that our president is from the same state as me" then he goes on about how the Bush Girls used to hang out with the band, and Gabe's girlfriend gave him permission to fuck any of the bush girls if she could record it and use it to blackmail W. Lot of texans hate bush, heck lots of everyone hate bush, but that's not the point. The Pixies were great, and I'm nervous about seeing them in concert if they come near Jax.

Surfer Rosa. That one's good.

I'm not much of a lynching person. I'm more of a "poke someone insidiously with my finger till they get creeped out and do what I say" type person.

I poke people when they're sleeping too while staring intently so i'll be the first thing they see in the morning.

The Pixies are amazing. Their albums Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are good. If you've seen Fight Club, the song they play at the end while the buildings explode is "Where Is My Mind?" by the Pixies.

hmmm, never tried it on drunks.
Be warned though; they may involutarily projectile vomit on you as reflex action if poked.

We used to jam out in the hallways of my school and play guitar to that song and a bunch of the smashing pumpkins old stuff.

Something secret that everyone who's a VIP on these boards should know full well about by now.
The informative memo delivered via the PM network (aka The Vine) was very clear on that (as well as the finer details concerning the real reasons behind the forum move) and proved very interesting reading.

Why Pin, didn't you get one?
NOOOO! I'M LEFT OUT! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

HOW???

Usually I'm the one leaving people out. Guess that serves me right.

I used to like Crannberries, but a few things put me off of them:
1. It seems like they can't put two good albums in a row. Except for first one, every odd album of their sucked big time. I don't intend to wait every five years for a new good albums.
2. Once you get into their lyrics, you realise how they're lame. It's like, if they were making a song about how it's not good to molest children, it's lyrics would be:
It's not good to molest children
So don't do it
Don't do it
