I did! I thought it was... inconsistent. There were a lot of parts that were annoying and/or uncomfortable, but I was laughing out loud through most of the show. In any case, I love the premise, and the season preview at the end of the episode made it look like they'll have enough material to keep the show going for the rest of the season.
My favorite moment would have to be the, uh, musical number. (To say any more would be a spoiler.) Well, that and the moment it dawned on me that the video game character was a spoof of Link. Least favorite part was the pig character. He didn't add much to the show, and in fact I didn't think he was all that funny. *shrugs*
Anyway, I'm gonna keep watching to see how it turns out. ^^

The pig character is kinda a waste of cytoplasm. His character is done just as well with the Sponge Bob guy. Of cource, I guess the writers didn't want to mix both their personalities together and make such an evil fusion that the character might be even less tolerable than they already are. I personally like Capt'n Hero and Xander. They're pretty funny characters.
I don't like signatures, so I'm not making one.
My impressions's pretty much the same too... At first I was semi concerned about Foxy Love being a furry steriotype, but frankly I don't see how ANYONE could take this show serious enough to be concerned. And yes, the show would benefit greatly from voting off that pig., Stinky Ham. his only purpose is to be the roaming joke incolving bodilly waste.

Agreed. Although episode 2 had its moments--such as "The M.C. Escher room!" and "Kill the beast!" "Kill the beast!" "Kill the beast!" "Misinterpret Ling Ling!"--too much of it was based on a single joke, and a really off-color one at that. I think the reason a show like South Park can be obscene and still work is that deep down it has some really thoughtful social commentary; making fun of "The Bachelorette," on the other hand, isn't all that difficult (and I've never watched it, so some of the humor was probably lost on me). Whereas the first episode was mostly funny with a few painful moments, this one was mostly painful with a few funny moments.
The show has proven that it can be clever at least some of the time; I'm going to give it one more chance. (And apparently the next episode is about Xandir, so yay.)
--RandomScribe (The really annoying thing is that thanks to Daylight Savings Time, the show now airs here at 11:30. >.< )

I downloaded the first episode but missed the second, which I can't find.
I ...kinda...liked it. It was hilarious! But I kept checking behind me to make sure nobody would walk in and become instantly offended. (The two in the room right next to us had a lot of Republican posters up--the sort of people offended by seeing people of the same sex naked right out of the shower.)

Okay. I finally watched it.
AND IT SUCKS.
Now, I usually don't use such strong language when referring to something I dislike. Usually, I just say, oh, well, this was conventional, this was predictable, and the whole thing had pacing problems and don't get me started about the cliche's, but here, there really is only one thing to say.
It sucks.
This actually isn't to say it's somehow elementally bad. I mean, it IS bad, but me having only "it sucks" to say isn't that I hated it more than anything else. But, I see the -severe- pacing problems, the jokes which were constructed to be offensive rather than funny, and what essentially amounts to two or three good jokes embedded in a mountain, a freaking MOUNTAIN of poorly executed half-parodies and wince-inducing one-liners, and, well, there's only one thing to say.
It sucks.
The wasted potential upsets me the most. This had the potential to be, well, fricking AWESOME. And, well... sigh...
It sucks.
Elmer Fudd in a pink hat was sufficiently painful to offset the subtle pinache of Snagglepus in spiked bangles, and any joy I might have taken from the Mr/Mrs Pac-Man joke was completely eradicated by the glory hole joke, so tastelessly executed that I actually wanted to hurt something.
I'm sorry, comedy central, but it sucks. That'll teach you to hire the writers from Sealab 2021.
(Actually, I don't know if they DID, but it wouldn't surprize me in the LEAST.)

*sighs* Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with you on this one, especially about how it could have been so much better than it turned out to be. I mean really, it was a great idea. And the parts that are genuinely funny just make it look like the writers simply weren't even trying on the rest of the script.
So I dunno. I think it's just enough mindless entertainment to be worth half an hour of my time, but now that I've given it several chances to realize its potential I don't think it's worth changing my sleep cycle just to watch it. Maybe I should just watch South Park instead and get to bed thirty minutes earlier. ^^

PACING PROBLEMS. YES. MY GODS, the TIMING WAS HORRIBLE. I mean, they have a non-stop barrage of puns and crudeness...and then when they need a pause, they wait FAR TOO LONG! And the musical numbers are just unnecessarily drawn-out. I skipped over one, just like the commercials, when I re-watched the first episode.allan_ecker wrote:Okay. I finally watched it.

But I still say I like it. Because it makes me laugh. It's not excellent. It's not as good as, say, South Park. I like it a lot less than I like many other things. But I still like it. I no longer think it'd be a good investment of my time to seek it out during first broadcast, but downloading each episode as it becomes available simply to watch whenever I have the time...yeah.

Viewed in that light, it's kinda like watching a dude wrestle a giant squid.

Give it purple tentacles and school girls, and you're a step closer to MY kind of dirty (No not really)
On a completely unrelated note: You know you have a good role playing group when you can get away with hentai tentacle jokes.

Damn good. Provided you can find a succubus to use it on. Force the DM into describing a hentai scene.. freaking awesome with a really open minded DM.
On another note, you know the PC team is good if they manage to break out of the +3 manacles of awesome and sneak attack a half god, and kill him via massive damage due to your Shocking Burst Thundering Keen Bastard Sword...
