I made a costume of my main character once. Since I specifically designed that character to look like me because I can't cosplay without ditching my glasses and changing my hair, the end result looked like me with poorly tailored gray cat-ears. And since I have three readers, nobody 'got' it.warofwinds wrote:How many people are gonna try and be their own comic characters?
My sister and I watched Rainbow Brite when we were young . . . so young, that I remember her through our childhood toys and storybooks, not the actual show.cjburgandy wrote:what do you mean Old? it was only 20 years ago that she was on the Air.Dutch! wrote:Okay...I'll be the first to own up to being old enough to remember her...cjburgandy wrote:2 years ago was my best costume, Rainbow Brite
I seem to remember watching the Rainbow Brite movie on TV about ten years ago and feeling nostalgic, like I was rediscovering my childhood.

Taken from the wonderful drawing done for me by my friend Turbo of Tomturbo17.com and based on the conversation that had inspired it, I will be Fat Batman Eating a Shark.
My modivation for this? So that I can have a conversation something like:
Silly Person:
"Hey! You're fat! You can't be Batman, who is all svelt and athletic! For SHAME."
Me (as Fat Batman):
"I am not Batman, silly. I am Fat Batman Eating a Shark, who is supremely better! He is FAT, and he's EATING a SHARK. Would skinny athletic Batman eat a shark? No, sir, I daresay he would not. Plus, Fat Batman Eating a Shark was drawn by Turbo, who, as we are all well aware, OWNZ. Who draws muscle-head exercise addict Batman these days? YOU DON'T KNOW!! That's because DC changes artists as often as I change my Fat Batman sweatpants! Every other WEEK!!"
So, now don't you regret ever asking?

Best part will be it will in all actuality just be his standard can of shark repellant, but hw will use his Bat Magic Marker to quickly scribble "Fat Batman eating a" in from of "Shark Repellant" on the can.. and BINGO!!Jim North wrote:Better than Batman? Pfft. The real Batman would just use his "Fat Batman Eating A Shark" repellant, and you would be forced to retreat, post haste.
Said can will then go back into his utulity belt pouch the likes of which only the TARDIS itself could compete with for its extreeme use of internal space.

Damn that Bat and his toys! And all I'll have on my utility belt is various condiments that go well with shark!Cow! wrote:Best part will be it will in all actuality just be his standard can of shark repellant, but hw will use his Bat Magic Marker to quickly scribble "Fat Batman eating a" in from of "Shark Repellant" on the can.. and BINGO!!Jim North wrote:Better than Batman? However, that will not stop me. I will find a way to use my inhuman abilities to eat a shark in order to best spandex fetishist buns of steel Batman. Mark my words!

I have a question.
Is that just a coincidence that the only episode of the old Batman I saw featured the shark repellent, or were they really using it that often?

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

I don't remember them ever using it in an actual episode. As far as I know, it was only for the scene in Batman: The Movie.YarpsDat wrote:I have a question.

Which also had Batman holding a bomb over his head and running all around a boardwalk, trying to find a place to safely throw it, and not being able to throw it over into the water becaue there were baby ducks swimming around down there. Funny stuff.
Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.

).
ANYWHO... Maria's gonna be a French maid and Michelle's gonna be... uh... something.... it's a pretty velvet/lace dress thing... (Doesn't matter what it is, it only cost $2!)
