The obvious solution is to get somebody else to do the licking part :D

Hmmmm... you know, we never WERE told just what cybernetic implants Volair was given...

((reference : http://umlauthouse.keenspace.com/d/20030422.html ))

Perhaps a spinal enhancement was among them?

In the space of perhaps three seconds that it took Volair to do something, he should have fallen and hit the ground. :-?

Okayokayokay, thirty MILISECONDS.

Picky picky.

(Actually, my bad, I should've checked the Shadowrun 2nd Ed for something like that.)

I fail to see the problem. Why wouldn't he be able to hover for three seconds before actually beginning to fall?

Sheesh, didn't any of you guys ever watch any Roadrunner and Coyote cartoons? :P

Not to mention that we still don't know what those cybernetic implants do. They might let him hover in mid air. Also, it doesn't say from when the 3 seconds was counted. It might have been from the time when the girls noticed the robot, and it took them 2 seconds and some change to get out of there, leaving Volair hanging for a mere split second.

All of the panels could have taken place simultaniously and in a split second. Just because a week happens in between Allen drawing them in real life doesn't mean a week happend in character (although, oddly enough, a year happens in comic at about the same rate as it does in real life, so, I'm lost anyways)
I don't like signatures, so I'm not making one.
