Webpage Redesign--critique it please

Post by Christwriter »

<a href="http://freakofnature.keenspace.com">The Blue Skunk</a> has a new webpage...and a new just-about-every-other page as well.

Joel Fagin was kind enough to do the HTML and take care of the lion's share of programing glitches.

Like it? Hate it?

Coloring tutorial It's a little like coloring boot camp. Without the boots.

Actually, all I did was take Christwriter's HTML, chop it into little bits and then gave it back.

No, really. Mind you, I thought really hard about it too. Image

Hmm, not bad...

The only thing I have a problem with is having the newsbox and the tagboard right next to each other... Both being iFrames, it makes it difficult to get to whatever is below them when using the scroll wheel...

Coupla rendering problems. Are the tagboard and news supposed to be aligned to opposite sides of the pages like this? Looks a little odd at high resolution. Also, the side menu buttons don't meet in IE.

Tried to post that in tagboard, damn 200 word limit.

Erm... are the text things on the side (Cast, Gallery etc) supposed to be clickable? If so, they're not on my Safari Browser.

They're not clickable with Firefox either FYI.

But that is a good place for them in the layout...

I like it. It's clean, intuitive, attractive, and all around well organized.
Nice of you to mention Joel too.

Yes...I should have mentioned this in the post (and I did in my rant).

The links are not functional yet. There is nothing for them to link to, so I thought it better to leave them dead (just an image) rather than have them link to nothing.

Sorry.
