Funny this should come around to safety warnings, because I had the pleasure of seeing both the North American-English manuals and Swedish manuals for Husqvarna chainsaws. The NA version has stuff like "Do not attempt to grab the blade while chain is in motion" and that kind of thing. The Swedish manual does not have such warnings, as it presumes that users have much more common sense than that. Thank the morons over here and their litigation-hungry lawyers.

It's Chlorine gas or Mustard Gas. It comes from the amonia cleaner which contains amonium chloride I think.
Mmm... ammonium chloride. Also known as salmiak, at least in these parts. I remember there was a new brand of cleaner that was initially advertised as containing salmiak. They changed the wording pretty fast to "ammonia", though. This was something like 15 years before salmiak vodka.

Were they in raised lettering? ;)
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

There is a gin here in the states that marketed at black people. The posters all show black people drinking the gin and having fun. All the billboards are either photos or these weird drawings, again of black people smiling and having fun.

The name of the gin? Malaka

Which is greek for masturbator..

Yay! Now I can mix a vodka martina with Ammonium chloride vodka and masturbator gin!

About mustard gas and such:

Post by Wilmo »

mustard gas is a sulfur containing compound:

Mustard gas(ClCH2CH2SCH2CH2Cl) + 2Water -> Not mustard gas(HOCH2CH2SCH2CH2OH) + 2Hydrochloric acid (2HCl)

just want to be clear that although the crap that you get from mixing bleach and ammonia may cause damage to the lungs, only mustard gas is mustard gas. It's cool because before it can react it has to form a 3-membered ring before the chlorine can leave.

Though, looking at that website, the gas(NH2Cl or NHCl2) that comes from that would probably react with water to form a base(more bleach) instead of an acid.

Also, is there any way to post little pictures? it'd be much easier if I could just draw out the structures.

Heh. :) Do you use Chime by chance? Even for a non-scientist, it's a pretty impressive plug-in. (I came across it on a blood / porphyrin page while trying to find out the state of "artificial blood" research.) If you snag the models and use the right-click menu on a model, you can do some fun stuff with the molecules.

As for pictures on the forum, you can hotlink images that are hosted elsewhere, but I don't believe these forums will let you upload images.

Here is the official word about posting images. You'll need a host, though. I believe you can use Photobucket for that.

I can top that...

My heroin-addicted prostituting adopted sister-in-law (have I distanced myself enough?) has a tattoo of an arrow on the inside of her thigh, pointing up, with "CUNT" beneath it.

My wife's response was "If they're stupid enough to need directions, there's no way they're going to be able to read."
