Three Years! Y'young wippersnappers!

Post by MixedMyth »

Three years. Three I've-been-drawing-my-hand-to-the-bone years. That's how old Mixed Myth is today! I just put a little something up. I was out late playing Settlers of Cattan with friends, and coloring takes a while. But it's deffinately worth the mark. For my full rambling thoughts on the matter, just read the post on my page. It basically says it all.

Huh, I'm right on the heels of Zeera, it would seem. I wonder how many Keenspace comics are three years old or older?

Do we send greetings cards to comics? Or maybe to characters?

Hey! That'd be a cool thing to do. In character cards. We should do an event like that whenever someone announces an anniversary. If it's not too much work.

Oooh. I've only been going for three months and it feels like a long time. Three years must be bone stiffening. And Happy Birthday.

Ghastly's Ghastly Comic opened it's doors to the internet on May 10th 2001. Approximately 3.5 years ago. Had an initial readership of about 300. Current readership stands at about 100K.

That new colored work in Mixed myth has been really impressive, keep up the good work and whatnot.

Ah, old comics. I think pointless has been around a little over three and a half years by this point in one form or another. I've never really kept up with the date very well.

Heh. It is if you want it to be.

And even so, seems like a whole lot of comics are turning a year older in a relatively short space of time. Strange, but it's pretty cool.

Man, I've only been at this for about five months and it's unbelievable to me that people are out there that have been doing it for three years or more. I have a hard time seeing myself doing it for that long, but then again, I can't picture myself stopping. Honestly, I think it'd be easier for me to quit smoking than to quit drawing comics. And I'm a hell of a smoker.

Congratulations on three, man!

Right on my heels? You started nine days before me! :D

Heh, I've been reading your comic for ages. I feel a special connection to those comics that started around the same time as mine.

That would probably be the Keenspace batches of newbies, no? We're the 2001 spring chickens. (Well okay, spring chickens if you're in the southern hemisphere :) )

It's like one of those pop-stars that celebrates 10 years in show-business while they were inactive at least 6 years out of ten.
