It's one thing when you get spam from complete and total strangers in the ol' email box. It's another thing entirely when a fellow Keenspace artist decides that because his board has no one talking on it but himself that he has to go and spam other boards. It's repulsive to think that one of our own would have such little respect as to do a thing like this.
The spammer's name, at least on the boards, is jedsoon, and his own forum has eight posts (last I checked) -- all by him. (Though I suspect that won't be the case for long...not that that's a good thing.) I'm guessing he got bored talking to himself, so he decided to get some other people to come to his board and his comic, and went about the most obnoxious and blatantly disrespectful way to do so.
The list of affected boards:
The Sporkman Chronicles
Jackie's Fridge
JoBeth!
Burnt Dog Radio
Exploitation Now
Nowhere Man
Ko Fight Club
Boxjam's Doodle
The Adventures of Ronnie Raccoon
Pimp Cow
Too Fat to be a RockStar
Six Foot Peter
Nerdz
Gene Catlow
Unnatural, but true!
Aren't We Real
Tonja Steele
Chopping Block
What/s A Life?
Diabolica
Dakota's Ridge
Karva Komix
Sketch Of Love
Randym Thoughts
Ghostz
Error Level 3
Life on Forbez
Blotto Street
RPG World
C.Ulture Shocked
Pocket
Shinkutokimekisempukaku
FRAMED!!!
Hell Sweet Hell
Psychic Dyslexia Institute
Dylan
Silly Cone V
Untitled Again
J-Walkin'
Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan
Kyoki Press Comics
Beta the Strip
Fight Cast Or Evade
No Stereotypes
Vet on the Net
Eat the Roses
FANS!
FAT JESUS!
Fanboy Otaku Gamers Club
Only One (listed twice, ironically enough)
The title of the thread is "its May 5th" (you'd think he'd at least know how to spell, oh well) and the contents are an introduction, and then a 340kb image file, and then a link to his comic (which isn't even on Keenspace yet, interestingly enough...)
Personally, I'm so inflamed by this that I'm feeling that this jedsoon fellow doesn't deserve to have his comic on Keenspace. Though that is a decision I shall have to leave to the administrators...and I shall leave the offending post on my board until I receive notice here that it has been seen by said administrators, and then I will remove it. (It's the only reason I've not deleted it yet, actually...figured evidence of the crime would be needed.)
------------------

Sometimes I wish I had an English professor handy. If I did, I might be able to express the depths of my disgust for Jedsoon.I mean, Keenspace is in enough trouble as it is, with the drops in ad revenue and the server troubles. And then he does this?
Boot him. Report him to his ISP and get him the hell out of here. We don't need this kind of crap here.
------------------

It should be noted that the number of boards is steadily incresing... 67 by my last search. At this rate every board on the 'space will probably have an enormous comic tacked on by tomorrow.
------------------

If it is on you board, just delete it Calli.
Matter of fact, every one delete it. Then he will really feel important when all his effort is washed out.
------------------

Report this person to Gav, Nate, Chris, and Terri for throural malleting. Include all the message.
And if he posts to Stalag '99, I'll mallet his post personally.
(If you don't think I'm serious about even MB spam, go to http://stalag99.keenspace.com/spam.html, where I have my message to clueless businesses who want to spam. As near as I can gather from the most recent post on this JedSoon's board. (And yes, he was talking to himself). He's apparantly gone. He tried to garner pity, but did it while trying to sound superior to us all anyway. Hopefully my interpretations's right and he will not be seen here again.
------------------

I would like to point out to everyone who, having read his apology, want to pity him, that, no matter what he says, he still did something wrong. If you abuse your internet priveleges, any decent ISP will remove your connection for a while, regardless of any apology. I should know; when I was younger (9 or 10 years old), I did some fairly stupid stuff on the Net, and my ISP got our connection removed. I apologized, but that did not get me my connection back even a day earlier.
Basically, I'm trying to say that any wrongdoing still has to be punished, regardless of how remorseful the perpetrator is. The question is how.
------------------

Hmm, I didn't realize that this was a widespread problem. Yeah, it did seem kind of...cumbersome, posting a comic twice the height of my screen.
I wonder if I should feel special that Only One was listed twice. Perhaps the title's singularity is a self-contained plural attractor. Ah, how the multiples pour in.
------------------
