And yes, good luck with the old copyright thingmibob! I'd be interested in any copyright cases that involve more than one country myself... Wonder how those are supposed to go.
I've had a burning question to. My comic's title is "Zombie High", which is also the name of a movie from the 1980s. Given that my comic and that film have much different plots, ie. my comic is NOT a horror comic, can they sue me?
I don't think so. As long as the source is different, thay can't argue a brand overlap (Case in point: In the 80s, the Beatles' Apple Records label were suspicious of a new company called Apple Computers. Apple Computers promised the Beatles that they wouldn't enter the music business, and so the Beatles let it slide. It worked out fine until Apple iTunes started, and now the Beatles are suing mad again.)
Speaking of sprites and copyright stuff, I'm sure a little bit of searching at 8-bit Theatre will yield Brian's explination of how he can use the sprites that he does.
(I say searching because I'm too lazy to do it myself right now.)

This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.
Oh noes! Read all about the tormented artist I am!

2) Captain America vs Fighting American:
Rob Liefeld, formerly a Captain America artist, started his own comic called the Fighting American. Fighting American looked a LOT like Captain America, and not in the "spoof" way, so Marvel sued him. The judge decided that if Liefeld wanted to keep doing Fighting American, he'd have to give him a much different look. Liefeld didn't change it much, but the comic tanked anyway, so it didn't matter.

Liefeld is like a neverending fountain of terrible hilarity. I love that hidiously-proportioned Cap with his swing-open chest. Awesome.

He's meant to be looking like he's keeping his balance but I couldn't be bothered drawing both wings like that. Hey, it was a rush job and Doctor Who* was on, okay?
I'm sure you're just joking, Joel. We all know how smart you are, and that you're really making some kind of political statement regarding the leftist freedom-of-information extremists...
Back on subject, a thread "Who is spot gonna steal next" was not mentioned; There was a bit of fuss about Striker giving away some insider informations, somewhere in the middle of the thread. Also, down at the main page of the forum there is a forum for locked threads that raised hell. Something useful could possibly be found down there.

I just realised one thing: Fighting american probably can't have sex. With chest like that, he can't possibly get close enough to the girl.

I don't know about you, but I can think of several positions that would still allow the required parts to come into contact...
Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."
Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
