If nothing else, I know Keenspace can slow down in peak periods and although it is fairly obvious when those peak periods are, the graph also tells you the slow times you could change it to.
Hmm, actually, for all I know, KS already has something like this.
Although the main point I see from the stats is that very few webcomics update on the weekends (Saturday or Sunday) which seems to me obvious because that is a time fewer people look at webcomics. They are either out or away for the weekend or just plain never get around to getting on their computers. So even if you wanted to be diffferent and update on the weekend probability a person will see your comic that Monday or the next weekday they have available. In the end it is still a matter of preference.
