Post by ZOMBIE USER 19235 »

I have tried the search box and i dont think anything came up, buti was just wondering how to ad banners when it says banner path.

do you just do this?

and then upload the banner to the FTP system ?

just wondering :)

actually, you should upload it first. say to /public_html/images/banner.gif

and then the path is: /public_html/images/banner.gif
You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

I dunno. A couple of days... hard to tell, but it will, eventually. So since you can't do anything to speed up the process, why worry?
(well, if it takes more than a month you can start to worry, but it shouldn't)

make sure it shows up on your banner manager. This messed me up for a while. your banner should show a preview of the banner. if you get no preview of your banner image you might have the banner sized wrong.

and on the manager does it say "1" for banner type?

sorry if this sounds silly, but just making sure everything is correct.

oh no, you're not being silly at all.

no, it does not say 1, but the thing is frozen and i can't change it or type anything in. my banner still shows up for some reason though. even when i manual update and everything if you're supposed to do that..

ok, it's me again (my starblinkz account got screwed up so I had to make a new one)

and no, my banner still is not working (well it is...ahh just keep reading) or showing up anywhere. I've tried everything, the banner shows up fine on the preview ok this may sound dumb, but you know when you look banners up in the guide? How do you make them show up there? cause mine doesn't do that.

You mean, it shows in the siteadmin, but not on the guide?

To show in the guide it has to be the right size (look for a recent thread about it), and then you have to wait a few days, changes to the guide are far from instant.

I'm still running into the fact that while I still have the banner in the right folder the pathway to it does not exist.....what have I done wrong?

sided note I seem to be doing all the step to make my buttons pic's instead of just text but it seems to have not worked....I suck at this web mastering......
