Just a thought...

Post by Maxgoof »

I'm wondering if the Frog Mage may decide that this young, raw, but powerful, talent needs training and takes her under his wing?

And that she grows to be an extremely powerful mage.

She reminds me, hauntingly, of Alia from Dune.

Movie? Bah, Herbert's material is, in the opinion of many (my own included), better in its original Dead Tree format.
Don't make me defenestrate you!

It's a rare movie that is as well-written as the book.

Anyway, it would be a shame if she didn't get training to match her skills. Or she might grow up to be an evil villainess whom Quentyn must someday defeat... That might be fun.
For now, there's a mudgullet full of gold in the crawdad traps to stop.

Wait... full of gold? Huh, I thought the beast was gonna carry the chest in its jaws... but then I suppose it's too rotten to be handled, even by something with a gentle touch. And there's nothing gentle about mudgullets I'll bet.

=P Perhaps if they manage to kill it they can slit its belly and find all the gold it's carrying... provided it don't choke to death!

Oy, I knew this was gonna be trouble the moment she went for something bigger...
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

You mean the evil mastermind who's in love with the hero? Cliche, but somehow it should work for Quentyn.

Oh, yeah... Taking this into a dark fantasy world, imagine an assassin who can find you no matter how or where you hide, and who can control small creatures such as scorpions, snakes and spiders at a distance. Heeeee!
