Da cops?

Post by Maxgoof »

Hmmm....why would the police contact Lily? Someone doing an investigation of Ben? Her sister? Her grandfather?

Her? The store? The company? A neighbor?

A scam? (Beware, good maiden, for evil may don a comely face.)

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

I'll say it's her grandfather. Maybe he *did* try something against Ben, and it backfired?

This may be out there a little too far, but....

Perhaps it's the police coming to find Warhorse after he deserted his post?

well, we've got a criminal on the loose in the neighborhood.

Alright folks, place your bets:

taking odds now on:

This arc talking about gun control and self defense: I say High

There being a climatic scene where Ben saves Lily: Low to medium, sounds cliche, but I imagine it'll have a twist like:

Lily saves Ben: hmm, add counterbalance to the recent Nip and Tuck arc with the femenist lizard? But of course, he's got to be fair and balanced, right? :P

Criminal is misunderstood, just wants a job: So we get a lecture on how if we had a economic safety net then...err...yeah right 8)

Criminal has a possee, which engages Ben's in all out apocalyptic war splitting the very fabric of time: 1/4505 (as of right now, odds subject to change)

Criminal doesn't even show up, and everyone just acts scared over nothing: hmm...nah

Story is something I'll never think of: High

Dude, have you guys checked out that cop's tail? Like, totally awesome.
He was consumed by his own house scarf. FYI, he tasted like sushi.

Well, he's an (overworked) cop. Of course his tail's dragon. :D

Additional scenario: The suspect turns up at the store. Either everybody tip-toes around him, afraid to set him off, or he takes the store hostage in a police confrontation.

Good evening.

Or, either Ben, Lilly, or the Posse sees him, the cops are called, and he's aprehended quietly?

Say, Ralph, is this a non-commission story?

An interesting point brought to my attention by a friend:

Ookami means wolf in Japanese. Lobo means wolf in Spanish.

So, the criminal's name is Wolf Wolf.

So, if anyone sees him, be sure to cry, "Wolf! Wolf!"

Sorry, no such luck. As Ralph told me recently, this is a commission arc, but it also marks the beginnings of changes. Changes to the comic, the story, the characters... even the name!

So, everyone pay close attention to this arc. It's gonna be an interesting ride, and very little will be left standing.

Which is probably why that store should've never let Gunther rent that small bazooka...
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

Oh dear... I just remembered what some of the concept in this comic ALMOST was about... in sort of a parallel dimension...
Hint: Posse without Ben...
And NO Ben is probably NOT going to die...
It is just that in some of the concepts he didn't exist...
He was added later...

Hmmmmmm...........me thinks that there MIGHT be a character death in the making....

Don't even suggest such things to Ralph - many of us couldn't deal with another ride like that.

By the way, when Ralph does a commissioned story, is it only a character insertion that someone buys, or do they also get to suggest the story line too?

(As an aside - if you're sitting in bed terrified of a criminal loose in the neighborhood, don't sit there with your window open - as shown by the curtains blowing in a breeze.)

In this case at least, the setting was suggested, and the story line (I think), was mostly made up by Ralph.

And yeah, I was thinking the same thing... I never leave my window open... >.>

Depends on if you have air conditioning, doesn't it?

Can we question the notion that a CLOSED GLASS WINDOW would stop a prowler?

I'm surprised she didn't call Ben or something and ask to stay at his place...

[Edit: Ok, surprised that she didn't ask SOONER...]

As for the open window... breakable glass or not, it should be closed and locked. Why make it any easier...?
