Absolutely yes! Though of course it would end up with the time traveling me teasing/molesting the earlier me, that way I'd get to watch myself squirm and moan, and remember it all, at teh same time.

of course, would it be sex or masterbation?

Ditto for myself if I met myself. Of course, if I met my furre self in some alternate universe, I might just destroy the device that got me there. *Chuckle*

If I went back and met myself.. dunno. Prolly, but I can't be sure..

As for meeting my avatar.. I'd never be seen here again. Cuz Cyril can blow stuff up. ^_^. Of course, he lives within a universe held solely in the minds of me and a few friends, so, that ain't happening. *sigh*

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinteresting hypothesis. I prolly wouldn't because I'm more straight than anything but I think I'd set myself up with someone cute without my past self knowing it. Fun thing about not having changed much physically in the last decade. 8) (Now, watching how everything would go would be worth comedy gold. Or at the very least, amusing.)

Oh, if I got to meat Nya, or Shakal, noone would ever, EVER see me again. We'd use their knowledge of the future to survive off intelligent stock market investments, and we'd hardly ever leave the house. Heck, we'd barely ever leave the bedroom

:-?! Ummm... no, that still kinda exceeds my weirdness threshold. Just... yeah. >.<

On the other hand, if I did meet my past self, I'd definitely have plenty of advice for him... er, me. Yeah. ^^

--RS (Of course, I feel reasonably certain that I won't possess time travel capabilities in the future, because if I did (will? would have?), then I'd come back here and let myself know.)

(Unless of course chronology is even weirder than I had guessed, but in that case maybe it would be for the best if I didn't mess with the timestream anyways. :P )

kinsey refers to the Kinsey Scale, where 0 indicates being completely heterosexual, 6 indicares being completely homosexual, and values between indicate some level of bisexuality (though most woudl classify anyone under a 1.5 as straight, and over a 4.5 as gay)

I would probably do what Volair would do under these circumstances, which is to say, see how many of myself I could get involved.

I would definitely have sex with myself. Most likely my future self would say something along the lines of "Don't worry. I happen to know this will be good for both of us. :D"

Interestingly enough, not only have I fantasized about screwing around with my time-travel duplicate, I've ALSO fantasized about meeting and boinking an alternate-universe female duplicate of me. Goes something like this. Convergent timelines, i.e. though obviously different due to certain people in this generation having inverted genders, most experiences happen exactly the same, at exactly the same dates (possibly varying a bit on the order of hours apart). Except for one cusp event happening, oh, weeks to months before the encounter, which results in my female duplicate having the power to transform (furry!) and dimension-travel, which is how she found me. And she's willing to teach me how to use this power, which is latent in this universe's version of me. (Hey, I figure, while I'm fantasizing, why not go all the way?) The thing is, in that instance, she has precisely the same likes and dislikes as I do, because our experiences have been so convergent. However, insignificant details of experience that may or may not be fully remembered, are what trigger the difference at the time of meeting. Otherwise, we'd open portals to each other's universe at the same time, and either pass in transit, ending up in an empty dorm room with subtly different furnishings ("What the...? Alright, I know I'm not into cross-dressing. So why do I...Aha! The portal DID work! So why is nobody here?") or else, depending on how hyperspacially close the portals are, bonking our heads on each other.

Needless to say, this fantasy also involves transforming into furry form...and across genders for four different possible permutations. :D

Hmm, Time travel and meeting self.

Put me down as another yes. This is an idea that had already occurred to me some years ago as a pleasant daydream.

And yes, I
Mad Scientist. Generally quite seriously Miffed Engineer.

One of the series I know of where both same-sex and opposite-sex alternates screw each other (in all senses of the word) is the wonderful Riding the Wheel of If cycle by Teri Hamill.

This is a fairly serious SW:TPM slash series in which Obi-Wan, despondent over his master's death, finds himself moving from one parallel universe after another, seeking a living Qui Gon whom he could love; along the way, he often finds himself correcting some 'inbalance in the Force', usually by playing matchmaker for the universe's versions of himself and his master. Along the way he meets many different version of himself, Qui Gon, Xanatos (Qui Gon's former padawan before Obi Wan, who in the canon series had turned and was killed), Darth Maul, and Darth Sidious. For each of them, he met some who were good, some who were evil, and some who were just - incomprehensible. Needless to say, he sleeps with several of the Qui Gons (and several Obi Wans, a few Darth Mauls, and at least one Xanatos) and has at least two menage a trois' - one with Qui Gon and the alternate Obi Wan, and and one with Mar Gon and Sil Wan, the female equivalents.

Schmaltzy as this sounds, it is actually very well done. The fact that the various scenarios are often quite contrived actually helps; you know the situation is absurd, so you simply let it roll on.

I think I was thinking of a different adjective starting with S than "Shmultzy".

Well, yeah, that too. I was talking about the premise of the series; when you first hear of it, it sounds like Voyagers done as a soap opera with an extra dollop of weepy bathos on top. While it can get like that in places (as well as mega-angsty, esp. after a very nasty encouter with a very nasty Sith Qui Gon), the writing is good enough that it doesn't become soppy or sappy.
