Small Introduction
Small Introduction
Hello everyone, this is my first time on the board, well any forum board as a whole. (Not counting Gaia, that's a little different I guess?) I wanted to give myself an introduction to the readers and other keenspacers and such, and hope to learn from you all and what not in any way possiable. I started a comic on keenspace myself though the introduction is going slow because it's a weird introduction none the less, but I hope it becomes famous like many other comics on keenspace. Thank you for your time, and it's a pleasure to meet you all.

... so how about those candy bananas, eh? I like 'em, but they leave this syntethic taste.
The name's M.E. Charm. Adress me with my full name. If not, I will not give you your jelly.

Wow... I'm more curious about how they taste... I wished the candy store where I live didn't close down.LAGtheNoggin wrote:Ehhh, I don't mind them, at least they're nicer than that bootlace liquorice you give out now and again, ungh; Couldn't taste orange for a week...
And now I am going to run around in squares. Taa taa!

Umm... Hi! 8)
I fear that your Keenspace experience will slowly degrade from here. I see that you have already been introduced to some of the finest minds Keenspace can offer. umm.. Sorry about that. I hope your stay is a pleasant one.
I checked your site, btw. You seem to be one of the few newbies who has had no problems setting up their site. You have a good start on a story and good artwork. A few hundred more pages and we'll see just how famous you get.

Fixing things up

Actually I had a LOT of problems with my keenspace site, a friend of mine who runs Wizard & Warrior helped me with the coding. Wow... that was 2 weeks of madness...
But thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I hope my mind doesn't snap now.

Wellp, with my run out of the way time to do the greetings and give you a read:
Greetings! Welcome to Keenspace General forum, your room is third on the right down the fifth coridoor, it's three paces past the Do Not Reply thread, you can't miss it... Wellp *click*
Ummm. Kay... Nice front comic *clicks first comic* OOOooOOo it's going to be a big background story to set the scene! Yay! *reads* *clicks next* What- that's it?
Oh well, can't really make much of a statement other than it appears interesting and nicely illustrated. Probably me being too lazy to search around but what's the update schedule?

Well the update schedule is every Friday and Monday, it makes it easier for me to update while I work on college work.LAGtheNoggin wrote:Probably me being too lazy to search around but what's the update schedule?
The basic idea of the introduction is to see a girl reading a book on a mercenary group. It's in color of course. When the story actually begins, it will switch to black and white, and it'll follow the lives of those mentioned in the book by the girl, but only as the real actual historical events. After that series is done it would move 600 years in the future with a chain of events that would play and the color tone will be dull. After that series is done, it'll move to a present day setting when the little girl has grown up, and the comic will be full color... at least I'll TRY to keep it full color, but if I can't, I'll just cut down on the shading.
And in reply to the two girls and mr bob with the icon I seem to enjoy looking at... Jelly babies, hmm... I think I've had them before. Or maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, are they jelly beans or something. Wow, I'm behind on the sweets area.

Hi
I too am new to this site. I don't even have my site set up yet, but it will get there
. VERY nice art, and story looks interested also! GOOD LUCK, and maybe I'll Instant Message you sometime. 8)
"Uhh... If you don't like my art, you must be mentally challenged..."

Welcome, Mortal!
Must say your comic looks interesting. I just want to mention a couple of things that bothers me(Not that I'm a pro, or anything....):
First off is the background. It doesn't have much, if any, depth. I think the whole second page would be much better if you got some 3D feel into it.
Second, since you too use the computer for lettering, I advice you to use another font than the one you already are using. It makes the text in the comic look like a boring letter, thus making the reading boring, too. At least, that's how it works for me. You can go to Blambot to get other fonts(Many of them are free, other cost money). I use the font called Anime Ace(which you can find at Blambot), which is more comic like.
Third, I don't like candy bananas. As mecharm said, they have this syntethic taste, which makes them taste everything else but bananas. Real bananas are better...
..anyway, the comic looks interesting. I think I'll check it out now and then.

Not using Keenspace, I just am here. For some reason. Probably because I'm making a webcomic. Yeah.

Brings to mind a scene from the British TV series Red Dwarf:Sortelli wrote:Mr. Bob already said it, but it's nice to meet someone who thinks there are any famous people on Keenspace.
"You ever go to school with anyone famous?"
"Well, there was Charles Keenan. He was sorta famous."
"What did he do?"
"Ate his wife."
Here's an opening for any Keenspacers...

Wow
I never expected this many responses. lol but thanks.
And yes, I'll look into the font area, I've been trying to find something that's easy to read on the screen, and the most basic arial was the best choice. I'll look around for other interesting fonts but we'll see.
Background wise, now that's something I'm not good at. If anything I taught myself how to draw people, but NEVER land scapes and such. lol though I'll try none the less. I hope that as I continue working on the comic, that my skills on the other art areas will rise as well.
