That was a cool movie.

I think it pretty much simplified politics.

Nono wasnt it "the second civil war?"

EDIT: No that's something else as it obviously didn't have Dustin Hoffman at all.
*slaps head*
But it had a a similar plot

The Governer of Idaho was more interested in sex than politics, and so one thing led to another and he started a civil war as a result of of a communications breakdown.

I don't know if I like Bush or don't like him. I do know that I did not like Clinton. All this was of course, according to the prophecy.

Your choice: figure out what the definition of "is" is, or live in a "Nuc-ye-ler" society. *shrug*

Wow ... I'm one of a total of three non-Bush-Bashers on the forums.

And I can't really think of anything else to say.

But it is kind of odd, in my unqualified opinion, that such a majority of webtoonists out there are liberals. I wonder if that means anything.

Lup, sometimes it's just easier to let these threads die. Politics really isn't worth arguing on the Internet. Especially with non-Americans. No offfense, but I don't have enough knowledge to speak on the politicians of the Netherlands or Poland or whatever. So I don't. Most people who don't live in this country aren't really able to make a totally informed opinion, since all news is biased.

Let's repeat that: all news is biased.

So let's let this thread die. It doesn't deserve the 3 pages it has.

And all this time I was thinking people were still talking about some silly list I read four years ago. Curiosity of what you people could be talking about brought me here.
Anyway, I half agree with you Warren; I don't think any of us can make an informed opinion about political matters, though, whether in this country or not, because our news agencies are as biased as any one else's.
I don't like to say I swing liberal, but I guess it's true. But these days I'm fairly sure, as someone has said, our opinions only reflect how we see the world as opposed to any sort of reality.
For the record, I rarely see Bush on TV and not laugh. Though Clinton sucked too.

Yeah... don't know too much about 98% of the American ones either. :)

I bet none of you even have the courage to intentionally get institutionalized!

Sad thing is: where I live, they closed all the mental health hospitals and a lot of very special individuals have no where to go now . . . other than prison, but that's no place for these folks.
Haughty spirit and pride make for a wild roller coaster ride!
I mean, as long as you like fairly final endings.

You missed the point. I was trying to draw a parallel with politics: certainly, U.S.A. politics affects life in, say, Serbia, more than serbian politics affects life in U.S.A. Therefore, we're bound to know (or at least try to know) something about it. Specially more than U.S.A. citizents know about our politics.
All media certainly is biased. Luckily we all know it, so we don't take it for granted (right?). Still, there are other sources of informations (sometimes even comic forums  )

Actually I didn't miss the point. I just didn't want to get in a flame war over something that is essentially stupid.

Yes, most people who live in Europe will know a little bit about US leaders, due to the influence this country has. And granted, the only things most Americans hear about with Europe is how the Germans or French sold weapons and supplies to Iraq even though the United Nations specifically prohibited it.

But there IS more to those countries. Just like there is more to the US than a President lying under oath.

There are just so many cooler things we could be talking about. We could revive the slander thread. We could discuss at length why Peanut Butter Cups are genetically superior to actual peanut butter. We could even compose the filthiest haiku in human existance.

Let's be friends, OK? Let's be friends with lesbians!
