Um they DID actually mail me. I signed up for the keen yahoo group.
Look, i'll copy/paste the notice.
Hi all,
I wanted to let you know that later tonight, I'll be moving Keenspace
to a new server. This process could take up to 1 week to complete.
During this time, your comic may exist in two places and depending on
when your DNS updates, you might not be able to see the new version of
your site.
So, to make sure your site is updating correctly, be sure to ftp your
images to both the old server and the new.
The old server is still at
ftp.keenspace.com or 64.71.165.151
The new server is at:
schlockadmin.keenspace.com or 66.118.149.44
You can run updates on either site. To update at the old keenspace,
simply go to your existing memberpage:
http://siteadmin.keenspace.com/YOURSITENAME
example:
http://siteadmin.keenspace.com/angryhippiegeek
To update your new site, go to:
http://schlockadmin.keenspace.com/YOURSITENAME
example:
http://schlockadmin.keenspace.com/angryhippiegeek
------
There will probably be some loss of webstats during this move.
Unfortunately, we are out of space on our old server TorTheCalculate
and we can't allow the logs to pile up which we normally do when doing
a transfer.
In this case, you pageviews for the next week may be all screwy, but
it's for a really good cause.
Keenspace's new server is really powerful and has lots of space (don't
abuse it though). We're also using a database-driven backend
developed by Kisai who also authored the Keenspace guide
(
http://guide.keenspace.com). It's in a very beta stage and all we're
using it for right now is password, but it will be a really cool
system in the future as we finish developing it.
Also, the newpassword function will probably not work for a while.
We'll try to get it running for this system and will post where to
look for it via this newsgroup when we get the chance.
I hope this week won't go too poorly. We're really working hard to
make Keenspace better and hope this will eventually pay off. We've
been hampered by hardware for quite some time now.
Thanks a lot.
