Another week?

Post by Ramza_Strife »

Hey, BJ, if stuff goin' on at home is preventing you from drawing the comic, then just take a while off. If you don't want to do this because of something else going on but feel pressured to because of fans, don't.

Just hope he's OK...

...I just hope BJ's OK. Even if the 'real world' comes a knockin' and delays the strip, normally he's at least on the forum talking and all. I don't think he's posted in a while though...

Hope you're ok

Yeah, but what also surprises me is that Joey hasn't said anything either. If something happened to BJ, I'm sure she'd post something.

Sorry guys...I'm alive, just moping. If something tragic happened to me, Joey certainly would let you all know. I've just been neglecting my online stuff (comic, email, forum, etc) and spending my spare time sitting on the couch with not a single thought running through my head. I don't even watch TV, so in the absence of drawing, I just sit there like someone turned me off.

I'm going to try getting myself back into it, but it'll be spotty for a while, and I can't offer any promises. Usually the "Who cares" voice wins out.

Thanks for the concern.

I'd say there's at least three counts against "Who cares" right here in the thread, and probably a dozen more will pop up in a day or two, possibly less.

AAAGH! Beej has been infected with the dreaded Piro Syndrome, feared by all webcartoonists! Quick, give Joey a Seraphim hairdo and a large mallet to smack him with! Remove all angst-causing material from his immediate vicinity! Strew sketchpads and pencils around his house! Send him encouraging e-mails! *runs off to get a webcartoonist doctor*
I've been enlisted to plug a webcomic called Strawberry Tokyo Girls (though it has nothing to do with strawberries and isn't set in Tokyo) because I color it, and the artist/writer doesn't have a net connection. So. Visit http://strawberry.keenspace.com so I can tell the artist I'm doing my job.

Well, lest I go uncounted, I do. If for nothing else, you're one of the few who don't blink when hearing of my "God is a Toaster Oven" argument. In fact, you probably made a significant contribution to the philosophy. I check several web comics on a daily basis. Yours is still the only one that I've seen fit to link directly from the body of my site and not relegated to some minor "links" page.

BJ has been there and given his permission to link, but for those of you for whom this makes no sense whatsoever:

http://redcedars.sphosting.com/whospir.htm

And it probably still makes no sense whatsoever.

Anyway, thanks, BJ for putting up a fine comic. I'll be a fan as long as there are archives anyway, so take your time, publish when you can. Looks like Victor isn't the only one with ennui, but this will pass for you, then him and we'll all get back to waiting for the next word from the Fridge.

As ever,
Red Cedars
