Since he never mentions whose brain in particular is exploding, and since he seems to be doing it with alarming regularity, I think that Wiebe has in fact not been exploding his own brain, but rather the brains of unfortunate victims in his basement laboratory, who he keeps around just for situations like this.

a) I'm not a male, herr_x had me being confused too often.

b) The Police aren't after me, but Sting is.

c) I'm not responsible for brain explosions, but responsible for gathering Wiebe's victims.
