This stupid Yatta thing
Is anyone else completely sick of this dumb flash cartoon?
I mean, I'll admit it was maybe a LITTLE amusing the first time I saw it, but since then, it's just gotten very irritating. But these people around me don't seem to get it. They act like it's JUST as funny as ever. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A RATIONAL HUMAN BEING COULD NOT BE IRRITATED BY THIS AFTER SEEING IT A DOZEN TIMES!! IF I HEAR SOMEONE YELLING "S-S-S-S-Q-Q-Q-Q-OHIO" AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS AGAIN, I'M GOING THROW MY TV SET AT HIM!!
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you don't need to answer. If you go to a large, state-funded college, I suspect that you probably do know, however.
Anyway, it's nowhere near as funny as something that actually took some creative thought and effort to develop, such as, say, Strong Bad.

Actually, it's not.smoot wrote:hehe, i saw the fhqwgads "video clip" thing before seeing any strong bad stuff..... it was sooooo random o.O
I wanna get a baseball-style jacket with a baseball-style logo that says "fhqwhgads" on the back of it. But they don't make that.

That one has a cool Easter Egg. If you click on Strongbad's Peanut Action Figure at the end, it goes to a little thing showing all sorts of other action figures for the various characters on the site.Odd1 wrote:Yeah, Strong Bad is awesome. Still, none of the other emails beats the Strong Bad Techno one yet.

Also, in the Techno one, at the end, click on the cheat's lightswitch ^_^fil3r wrote:That one has a cool Easter Egg. Heh. Yeah, I found that the other day. The latest "ghost" one made me think to look for easter eggs in the other ones.Jamie! wrote:Also, in the Techno one, at the end, click on the cheat's lightswitch ^_^fil3r wrote:That one has a cool Easter Egg. I actually first ran across HomeStar Runner about 2 years ago when it wasn't that big.

No, see, they're both freaking stupid. If you think they're funny rather than one of the most irritating things on the planet after having seen them several times, I think there's something wrong with your sense of humor.Melancholy Chinese wrote:I liked the original Yatta video better, with the naked Japanese boy band wearing fig leaves amidst a horde of screaming girls.
Yatta!
Unless you're Japanese/whatevercountryitoriginallycamefrom. I don't really speak the language, but were they intending to make fun of boy bands in the US? Because if they were... well then, I suppose extreme irritation was the correct mood to shoot for.

That's almost exactly it. Making fun of Boy bands. However, it was a skit first on a Japanese show similar to SNL or Mad TV that they made into a spin off thing. (Like Wayne's World or Superstar) But, it is supposed to be a parody. I kinda like it in an odd way, but then again, it's me saying that. The song has gotten annoying now though. ^^;

Said the genius who watched it more than once. Moderation, and stop hitting yourself. That's all the advice I can give you.fil3r wrote:
