It may not be original, and it may not be witty, but memorizing and quoting Monty Python still makes me feel all warm and squishy inside... it's like reading Bible verses, but funny.
you can also get 'i'm a lumberjack' in the 'live at the hollywood bowl' thingy that they did, and on the special episodes they did in err... some other language that you can get on dvd with subtitles. i really can't remember what it was called though -_-;
Yeah, I have "Life of Python", which was a Biography on A&E which I recorded whenever it was on tv the first time, and they showed that sketch where they're doing the Lumberjack song in German,and he's wearing leiderhosen. They had to change all the lyrics around to get it to still rhyme, and it's somehow even funnier that way.
They also showed out takes from Holy Grail... did you realize they filmed that movie in only 5 weeks?
No, the hating came pretty gradually after that... because they still went on to make Life of Brian (which is GREAT), and The Meaning of Life (which is.... slightly less great) and they got back together at the Hollywood Bowl, but... yeah, most of them don't care much for working with the others, and Graham Chapman is dead, so no more new Python, ever.
didnt this have something to do with japan before?
oh and anyone watch Fawlty Towers?
