You'll have to forgive 'im, Ralph. He's part of the Instant Gratification generation and has no patience for story/character development nor appreciation for building tension.

No but if you want to see SLOOOOOOW time spans, think about "Freefall."
The strip has had hundreds of strips now over several years.
Yet in "strip time," only a couple weeks, (at best!) have elapsed.
But I don't mind.
Because usually Mark Stanley doesn't keep us in suspense as to what happens next.
Just an example, a couple of the main characters have gone to a shopping mall.
This in "real time," would take only a few hours.
Yet the strip thread going shopping has lasted for over 2 dozen strips!
Just a realted question, how much time in strip time, (that is how much time has happened for the NnT characters) has elapsed since strip one?
I'm taking a wild guess here, 2 years at most.
