What mood does your comic create?

Post by ZOMBIE USER 11784 »

Well, I just want to know what mood your comic creates.

A comic of sorrow is more romantic-based, while a comic of despair is more bad-luck based

If your comic is both, then think Are the problems inflicted by the choices of the character, or is it fate destroying him The former is a comic of despair, while the latter is a comic of sorrow.

Also, a comic of despair may have dark humor, while a comic of sorrow doesn't have any humor.

This is just most of the story you're rating. If a comic of despair has something good happen in one strip, it doesn't immediately become a Comic of Life.

Anyone that wants to argue with me can.

Despair... I guess. Though I think frustration is more in lue of what Nobody Loves the Whiner is intended to produce. Frustration at how stupid other human being are - especially when you recognize the stupidity, they recognize it, and yet continue to act that way...

People have been pointing out that mine gives off an "adrednaline" type of feeling of speed and anger mixed with the artwork and storyline, which are very slow moving and dark. Others have also said that I have a "realistic" in terms of my current chapter's feel to it. Not the artstyle, but the story :)

Personally, I think it's just that I like shading  okay okay, there's more to it than that... but I do!

I voted Despair... Although now thinking about it I suppose a comic of sorrow is also possible... Or maybe even Life if I try thinking ahead...

Problem is I haven't drawn enough to even create a mood... Ermmm, then again, faces getting ripped off, mystery bodys and gibbed Russians might do something for the mood...

Ummm...

It'll probably turn into life eventually. Everything usually does... Errr... in a purely philosophical sense of coruse...

Yeah, I don't really have a storyline...I'd say it's more for humor than anything.

Which category would I pick for "makes the ladies weak in the knees" webcomic :o No, I'm serious! I should change the name to "Panty Peeler".

I know I'm pathetic, I'm painfully aware of that fact. I'll go suck on some car exhaust ..

Mood? Hmm... humorus and sexy would be my pick, but then again, it is getting rather serious. So, probably, a "so close to life yet so entirely unbelievable that it is believable" feeling.

...did that make any sense...? I hope so....^^;

I'm proud to say that my comic seems to induce confusion... unless you're me, in which case it makes perfect sense

Comic of vague retching motions.

I do a strip called NeTrek which, although it is not a comic of Joy, it is certainly funny and upbeat, but it includes a lot of gags and has a very depressed, sorrowful robot (who somehow is not named Marvin) and seems to go from weird to odd to bizarre to . . .

Ooh . . . getting dizzy . . . must go lie down . . .

Oh, well we learned a few things

1) No one has completely happy plotlines.

2) The amount of categorized comics go equally between Comic of Life and Comic of Despair/Sorrow.

3) Over a third put Comic of Boredom, Comic of Gags, or Other, which means plotline isn't everythin.

I just started mine last week... and not much has happened (especially since I'm still tinkering with the page itself). But since there's only going to be a loose "storyline" and mostly just cheap, morbidly violent gags, I guess it will fall under the Despair category.
In any case, I think eventually mobs of angry people with pitchforks and torches will come to take me away into the night...

Hungry? No way! I just had dinner. It was soup. SOUP!

And... my comic....hmmm... it used to be all funniness and stupidity. The stupidity will continue, but the funniness is going to morph into a kind of lame romance/fighting/angst/mockery kind of thing, but only briefly...it's actually not as bad as it sounds...everything just sounds stupid when I say it...
I'm a little tired, and full of soup (as I said) so I'm going to stop writing now.

Hey, I tried to post on this topic a while ago, but when I went to see my post, it said "Page 2 of 1" at the bottom of the page...er...temporal anomaly? Is anyone actually reading this?

What I have learned from this is:

1) The first four letters of the word Analyze are Anal

...

...

That's it. That's all I got right now. It's 7am and I am going to bed.
