Which is why this is one of those special moments I am compelled to haul my ass off the sofa to vote, just to vote AGAINST these bastards. Effective advertising, neh?

Indians = Native Americans? Nope!

Native American where the "Indians," as how there were earlier tribes before the Native Americans, that really isn't a fair name.

And the fact that Columbus called them Indians because he thought he was in India is pure fiction. Look at a map from back in the day. Notice something missing? That's right, India isn't there. I believe it was called "Istanbul" back in the day (though I may be wrong).

"En Dios" means "with/in God" in Spanish (I should know, being Spanish), which is what Columbus originally called them, because these people lived in a land of God or something. En Dios. Indios. Indians. There ya go.

I ended up playing the Commies in the end, the T34 tank is too much to resist. Not to mention the Crauts were 0wning the map. Grrr... Damn Crauts... Arrr'... etc.. I'm still a little miffed as to why the Commies don't have their proper Mossin Nagant Sniper Rifle but Yanky M03's instead, it just doesn't make sense dagnabit! NO SENSE AT ALL! And the PPS! Where the hell is that?! WHERE?! MILLIONS were made! Grrr! GRR I sAY!
Are you mindlessly ranting about Battlefield 1942? I love that game! Especially when I'm in a tank striking fear into the hearts of the poor infantry and jeeps. Ha ha ha! Die, little jeeps die!
Is this comic ANTI-AMERICAN? You make the call: http://finaldraft.keenspace.com, Final Draft (Mature Audiences only)

No no no. That's not right.

Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul not Constantinople
Been a long time gone Constantinople
Now it's turkish delight on a moonlit night.

And every girl in Constantinople
Is a Miss-tanbul not Constantinople
So if you've got a date in Constantinople
She'll be waiting in Istanbul

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam.
Why'd they change it, I can't say.
People just liked it better that way.

So take me back to Constantinople
No you can't go back to Constantinople.
Been a long time gone old Constantinople.
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks.
Istanbul!

You gotta admit, though, the "Particle Man" and "Constantinople" music videos were about the only times Tiny Toons actually managed to live up to their premise, the humor of Looney Toons set in a (well kinda) more modern setting. Those videos are legitimately funny and well animated, though I think the credit largely goes to They Might Be Giants. The rest of the series is, of course, crap. Also, this new "Baby Looney Toons" series makes me want to get a batch of that dip from Who Framed Roger Rabbit and put them all out of their misery.

Actually most people don't realise it but Istanbul (not Constantinople) is actually a song by The Four Lads first recorded in 1951. The Four Lads were parodied on SCTV as a singing group called The Five Neat Guys. The lyrics were the brainchild of Jimmy Kennedy and the music was by Nat Simon.

That's right, I forgot that TMBG were just covering that song. The Flood album that's on is actually the only one I DON'T have, where most people ONLY have Flood.

Warner Brothers needs to put the Looney Toons to bed, for God's sake. They have more merchandising than material now, and whatever they do produce as an excuse to sell more crap is always just CRAP.

I only have Flood and um... some MP3s. I am a bad person.

Dr. Worm is my favourite song. It speaks to me, for some reason.

Don't worry, my Floodite friends. There is a cure! Go out and get more TMBG albums, Apollo 18, John Henry or Lincoln or ANYTHING... and let the healing begin!

Speaking of Warner Bros and insanity.

Pinky and the Brain was a fricken awsome cartoon. So what do you do after a successful cartoon series is over? Bring it back in "suck ass" form. Enter "Pinky, Elmira, and the Brain".

What was hilarious is the writers even knew the whole idea of this show sucked and poked fun of it in the opening credits.

"Pinky, Elmira and the Brain
Pinky, Elmira and the Brain.
It's what the network wants
So why bother to complain?"

That was the only part of the show that didn't suck the proverbial ass.

"It's Not My Birthday" is probably on of my favorites.
