'Advertisement' tag problems

I seem to be having some problems with my tags... for one thing, they just say '***tagname***' on my site instead of working like they should. You can see an example here:

Any ideas why my advertisement tag just appears as ***advertisement***' at the top of my page?

You probaly have a copy of indextemplate.html or index.html in workspace/webpages/

...Pardon? ^^; I'm afraid I don't know much about keenspace at all, and the 'taglossary' and tutorials just seem confusing to me. I don't think I really get what you're saying.

ok, when you go to update your comics, you ftp in, using whatever program you do
you should see two directories: public_html and workspace
so click on the folder that says workspace and in it should be a folder named webpages. In that look for html files named either indextemplate.html or index.html. If you find one or both, delete them. Then reupdate your page, and it should work. :)

There are two halves to your keenspace account. One, workspace, is used to generate the other, public_html. Before things are moved from workspace to public_html, the update scripts replace the ***tags*** with the proper HTML. Everythind in workspace has corresponding page(s) in public_html.
workspace/indextemplate.html -> public_html/index.html
workspace/dailytemplate.html -> public_html/d/YYYYMMDD.html
(YYYYMMDD is the date)
workspace/webapge/filename.html -> public_html/filename.html

public_html/ = http://yourcomic.keenspace.com/

It can be a bit confusing at times, but it works.

Hi,
I've been having this problem with the ad box no longer showing up, I still have the tag in place for it, but for some reason its no longer showing up. I want to get it back incase Keen takes my site down.
