Why am I so popular?

Post by Krazy Krow »

I'm suddenly getting 50% more to twice as many daily pageviews as I used to. I would have guessed it was the MT parody I drew, but it's in the archives now and only accounts for a small fraction of total pageviews. Looking at the stats there are no big referrers to me, most people are connecting directly.

Is this some kind of back-to-school thing all webcomics get, or a bug in the Keenspace webalizer?

Jeez...keep posting topics with titles like that and you won't have to wonder much longer...

On a related note, could somebody tell me why my penis is so big? I would assume it was just genetics or something, but [pacino]hoo-WA[pacino], that thing is enormous!
Of course, I'm the one that isn't JP Sloan or Jim North.

You're not using the centimeters side of the ruler, are you?

.....OK, I'm sorry! It was just there- it was too good to pass up! Nothing personal!!! Just led into a good witty retort (well, I thought it was witty)

Ok, I'll go now...

Yeah, I know, I'm getting like...TEN visits a day now.

Lucky me, someone was looking for "Rock me Amadeus" and stumbled upon this so, after figuring out the math, I wouldn't get an average of only NINE visits a day. That would be terrible, don't you think?

Of the yardstick, you mean?

Seriously, Krazy, I don't know why you're so popular. Maybe it has something to do with that pact you signed with Satan, I don't know.

To change the subject, could SOMEBODY please tell me why strangers come up to me in the street and hand me free money? It's driving me crazy trying to figure out why this happens!

I think students going back to school does increase pageviews. After all, browsing the web is has gotta be the number 3 thing for college students right behind porn and partying

well, i've plugged you a few times...

anyways, I guess it could be the fact that on the Keenspace Top99 you were (and might still be) the "Comic of the Moment". then people check it out, bookmark it... and visit, accounting for the direct visits...

I don't think it's as big a jump as I previously thought. I have 80 comics in my archives, so theoretically, 10 people looking through the whole works at once could really through my stats off.

Ah well, I was really happy for 12 hours or so.

It's the back to school thing. My readership has jumped from 7000/week to 10000/week in September. I assume it has something to do with kids leaving their parent's rural dwellings and returning to big city colleges where they have broadband internet connections.

Or it could be all the shemale oekaki pictures I recently posted to usenet.

It's a rich tapestry.

We all hate Ghastly for his pageviews.

And Razi, thanks a lot for increasing my knowledge of angsty teen bands by even one iota. *sigh* I guess it's a brick in the head for me again *thump* Ahh, sweet amnesia
