Why Do I Let Things Get Me Down?

Post by TechnoTiger »

I was going through the mall today and I don't know why but today the stares and comments just hurt me today  . I normally on't let them bother, or I revel in the fact that I'm the center of attention for 15 seconds, but the druggie comments just hit me today. I'm sick of all the people who call me "E-tard" just because I go to raves and wear my kandy all the time. Why are some poeple so mean? Oh well, it's nice to get it off my chest. More importantly, thank you for listening to me. :)

Rapidly it goes,
Through this our body it flows,
To head to who knows?

I have days like that too. The comments usually aren't directed at me because I'm usually observing, not acting. But observing can be just as painful sometimes.

I don't understand why people are so mean. People are afraid of "being different," I guess. Some people are just insensitive intentionally and some people do it without even noticing.

Just be you, friend.

hmm..yes, sucks don't it?...at least (I don't know for sure, though, so forgive) ye don't have wanna-bees gawking....nar...peeps should be more excepting...all these 'boundries' and stuff like that...if ye take it away and look at people as people, instead of just sub-cultures*head shakeing*....I sometimes incline to 'grouping', but mostly I just note the 'outs', "Boy, they're gothed-out" "Ahh..it's an army of angry punked-out people, iee!spike to the eye!" "wow...preped-out...r squared, dude...okay, I run 'way now.."....ner...just buy a load of those vibrating cat toys and set them all off at once...in a hallway.. stick something on them..like those truth ads...only...not....then laugh insanely and scream something about all bowing before you for you are a demi-god..or something....thats fun...

Anyways-to quoth Ali, "People suck.."
Im not evil, just sorely underrepresented...

People are stupid. If they're too caught up in their own selves to have to put you down, they're not worth your time. Trust me.
By the by, I met up with a jock the other day and boy did that give me a good hoot to watch him try to look down on me. Poor sap tried to ride my skateboard and laughed when I was trying to ollie a 5 set (darn thing had a crack right in front of it that kept messing me up, but that's beside the point, I'll be back to land that sucker some day). All I had to do after he guffawed at my inability to clear the stairs, was bust out some flatground stuff and totally show him up. I couldn't help it, having suffered through enough jocks in high school, now was my chance to shut one of them up.

No one says "football or die" for a reason buddy.

Just thought I'd also mention rent-a-cops suck (except if Devon was one)

Yes, quite a few do. A lot of real cops suck as well though. The one at a neighboring school maced a large crowd of students because of they were near a fight. Those involved in the fight were not maced at all while a sweet girl was maced right in the face just cause the cop went crazy.

P.S. I must be really stupid for not noticing ealier, but kewl new avatar Joe! 8)

I would like to clarify that I am not and have never, ever been a rent a cop.

Yes, some cops are big jerks... I like to hope that I will not be one of them.
As a matter of fact, I'm dedicated to not being one of them.

I had a job as a security guard for a week... right until I started my first IT job! :)

I was guarding a small apartment building that had flooded, and logged all traffic in and out. I just sat in my van, and read novels most of the day for 8$/h.

Oh yes, Joe, I've been planning to compliment you in that avatar the first time you're in a thread I coudl constructively add to. This one seems to reflect you more than the last. :)
