Bassoonery

Yes, folks, it's true. Sidwood is, in fact, on hiatus because the artist is learning the bassoon. I know that sounds completely ludicrous, but I'm not lying. For those of you who haven't seen the notice on my site, Sidwood will return next Monday. There will also be a memorial on Sept. 11, so be sure to check in then.

Yeah, I play the clarinet and the tenor SAXOMOPHONE. I'm trying out for my school's jazz ensembles, which is a big deal, but somehow I'm continuing my comic.

Now let's go steal Sid's keyboard!

I play the clarinet and the alto clarinet, which is like a cross between a clarinet and an alto saxophone. And I was going to volunteer to learn the bassoon, but Sidwood interrupted me. *pokes bassoon* And I can play the piano very badly, but at least I can read the music well enough to tell me what I should be playing. ^_^;

Well, I probably won't be any good by then... but i'll at least have all the fingerings n' stuff by then. As for the double-reededness; I already play oboe, so that's a bit of head start.

I prefer the saroussophone.

I'm quite suprised at myself that I actually understood this reference.

It kind of sucks, because the bassoon hasn't even been GIVEN to me yet... if they don't give it to me by Friday, this whole hiatus would be for naught! Perish the thought!

Hmm... my brother plays the oboe, though not very well yet.

The only instrument I play well is the trumpet, though I've been trying to pick up guitar. You'd think I'd use this to go join a ska band or something, except it seems you have to be at least somewhat "cool" to be in one of those. Or something.

SKA! Like No Doubt used to be, and then they released Rock Steady which wad mostly crap. >_<; Amazingly, I found a copy of Beacon Street Collection at a K-mart that was going out of business... O_o; I did my field conductor audition to "Stricken". Pretty song... ^_^
