*grabs carrot; munches on binary data* Thanks, Eric! Now, where'd I put that bucket of cold water? Oh, Niquee stole it a while ago. How to wake up Joe.....how to wake up Joe? *rummages through various boxes that do not contain forum members* Backscratcher? No. Air horn? Ineffective. Aha! Here we are, just the thing for the job! *pulls out rubber ducky, walks over and squeezes it next to Joe's ear* Come on Joe, yer burnin' bandwidth!

Actually I could use some Dave Brubeck. It's been a long day. :(

I woke at 7 to catch the bus to my class at the art museum which starts at 9. Got home to my dorm around 11:30 and had about an hour to chill and eat lunch. Went to Orientation class which starts at 12:30, had no time between any of my next classes (which were Math and English, I HATE math) to do anything besides skate between buildings to get there. Got home around 5:00, went to meet a friend for dinner so we could get art supplies afterwards. She never showed. Ended up eating with some friends from film class, so that was at least cool. Got home. Had reading to do for homework, fell asleep while reading. Woke up at 7. Still had to do six sketches of a bug, each of a different angle. Didn't finish that until 10:30 I think. Finally got to relax a bit and hit my local internet haunts. Then went to bed so I could wake up at 7 AGAIN this morning. At least today isn't as busy. only two classes today, and I'm done. Art class is already over.

*shakes head* See, you haven't learned yet. One of the primary qualifications for taking a class, especially when you've still got three or four years before graduating, is not what the class is about, but when it is. I did my best to avoid classes before 9, and those that met on Tuesdays and Thursdays. T-Th classes are rough, 'cause they're longer, and they tend to interfere with your lunch schedule and whatnot. :)

Seriously, if you don't HAVE to take a class (like if it's a prerequisite), you can usually wait a semester or two and find it at a later time. And at my colllege, seniority made a difference in getting into classes. If I had a semseter (or two or three) on everyone else signing up, I got first crack at my choice time slot. And I know it's too late for this semester, but I'd recommend getting all your gen ed requirements out of the way the first few semesters, then concentrating on your major. That way, if you do poorly while adjusting to college (like me-- 2.6 and 2.41 in my first semesters, 3+ after that), it's in the unimportant classes.

But yeah, you're right. Getting up early sucks.
