How do the Unititled characters sound in your head? You know, when you read the comic and you imagine their voices - what do they sound like to you guys?

hmm, some can't be described, but I can say this:
to me, Twap sort of sounds like Trinity from the Matrix, but with more emotion,
Sniter sounds high-pitched and "bubbly blonde",
Xe, as I said, is an empty slate, but I hear hims as soft-spoken,
Cirian sounds like my supervisor at work, who dresses like a biker and wears chain mail and a leather jacket to meetings. A friend of mine, but he's come through a lot. He/they seem to see the negative side of a lot of things, and has little faith in mankind or anything. um, deeper, beginning most sentances with a frown.
Bob, sort of sounds like John DeLancie (Q from TNG),
Phasia-> a female Morpheus.
Apollo sounds sort of "preppie", with the "rich boy" attitude.
Misha seems kind and soft-spoken.
About Erin and Fiar I can't describe.

I imagine Snitter to sound kind of like Sophie from Anastasia (the animated version.)
Keer reminds me of two people - my cousin's husband (because of the glasses) and my friend's fiance - he just has that look. . . As for his voice. . . I'll have to go back into the archives and read some of his dialogue.
I'm still thinking about the rest of the characters.

Heehee! THAT's a new one... except Sophie has more of a French accent... If Snitter had an accent I would imagine it as more of an eastern european one (like I imagine Fiar as having)... However, since she has lived in the US since she was a child, I would expect that accent to be pretty much gone by now.Lily wrote:I imagine Snitter to sound kind of like Sophie from Anastasia (the animated version.)

Meh, this is one of those things I think is best kept to our own imaginations. If someone ever went out and put voices to that cast, I think at least one character or another wouldn't fit what you heard in your head, or would sorta ruin how you imagined them to sound. But that's just me. I read too much Bill Watterson. (Is that possible?)

I don't know about that, Joe. I think a lot of people will have similar conceptions of how they sound. I understand your concern about pigeonholing the characters, but the tone and modulation of someone's voice is an important part of how we view their personality. I thought about this, and I found the results revealing-- it made the characters stand out as more real.
Twapa is easiest for me: She has a midrange, commanding voice that can be sharp, but not harsh.
Xe has a soft, very high voice, wistful and fragile.
Keer's voice is slightly muted, with no sharp edges, a bit deeper than Twapas, and very suited to irony, I'm thinking like Kevin Spacey....
Erin has a sweeter, more flowing voice, a little higher than Twapas, but I can't say who she sounds like...
Apollo strikes me has having a slightly whiny voice, with his constant approval-seeking.
Snitter has a little trouble pronouncing her "R"s and "L"'s, a slight speech impediment, and I imagine her sounding very much like a kid.
51 sounds a lot like Twapa (obviously), but without the commanding note to her voice. She doesn't have the vitality that Twapa has...
And Misha? He sounds a lot like Devon to me, with an accent of course. : )

Yeah, I see what you're saying Crash. But I get caught up in "preserving" things are they are sometimes. Kinda like keeping the Nostalgia or the "realness" of something (which, frankly, is a futile effort in the end, actually. Things change and it's inevitable). It's funny you should mention Kevin Spacey for Keer, because that's really who came to mind for me too. Oh, and I hope Micheal Jackson never gets to do Xe's voice.
Haha.

*shudders* And today was going so well. Now I've got the image of that glove-wearing, crotch-grabbing, hyperbaric-chamber-sleepin' freak stuck in my head. Man's got a nose sharp enough to slice bread.W.M.Y.L.G. Joe wrote:Oh, and I hope Micheal Jackson never gets to do Xe's voice.Haha.
Of course, now that you mention it, he probably would have an intense interest in Xe.... Creepy!
