Hits and stuff

Post by ZOMBIE USER 3288 »

Ok, I get 15 visits per day on average, but my site is only updated every two weeks (I'm not lazy, I just do flash animations that are at least two minutes long). Do you think the average number of visits per day accurately reflects how many people come to my site, considering that?

Uh.. I'd say no... why would anyone come back every day of the week when they must know by now that you update 2 times per month... I'd say do the math. Monthly total / 2 give or take a few eh? Just my idea

No, it doesn't. Like Dunn Boyz gets about 60 people a day...but I only do MWF strips....so if you do it PER strip its around 80-90 people per strip.

Actually, I'm kinda in the hole as far as visits go. My strip went from semi-popular to nobody-ever-comes-anymore in like a day.

Don't worry about your day to day visits, just look at your montly average for a good "guestimate" of how many people are reading. My visits jump from between 200 or under on slow keen days to over 500 on "WOO HOO!" days. Pages is also a better tracker of readers over the long run. You can get visits from somebody linking to an image on your site, or if you've put an image on your site and used it in a voting site or some such thing. You'll find that some people visit your site every day because it's on their "list" and they click mindlessly through it while waiting for the coffee to start working, and you'll find some readers that only come once a month or so and read the latest stuff. Update when you say you were, improve your comic a little each strip/episode, and have fun. That's all there really is to it.

Everybody is too obsessed with getting famous! Just try to do the best webcomic you can and let the work speak for itself. If your comics good enough people will come back. Besides do a comic is supposed to fun not just for the readers but for you too.

I subscribe to that. If I wanted to be famous I'd have gone all out instead of KeenSpace. :p
