Music Comics

Post by Sidwood »

Is anyone out there in KeenLand doing a comic about music and/or musicians? I can't say that I've seen a single one yet, suprisingly.

I remember a comic called "Geek Rock." Pretty sure that's music related. Pretty good, too. But I think it stopped updating.

Once Taito Country actually gets going, once a week there's going to be little trips to reality, and all the ones I've written so far except one are stuff that actually happened during band (like someone getting a baseball stuck in a saxophone, forgetting an instrument and trying a really lame excuse, yelling randomnesses during parades) , so those are slightly music-related... Not much, but still...
Taito Country - The Comic!
Now with actual strips by Tei/Disk! Because the real artist is still lazy...

"Ignorant and stupid people are funny!! I want to herd a whole bunch of you into one big farm and just point and laugh at how hopeless you are. =)" - Tei/Disk *if you know who specifically this refers to, private message me and you get... um... a cookie!*

That Geek Rock news is good to hear, I liked the comic.

Even though they never really got started with the music.

Well, my characters might form a band/audio drama troupe.

My main character plays the synths and the Stick [www.stick.com] and my secondary characters can sing and play the theremin. [www.thereminworld.com]

It's a scifi comic, set in the 26th century. I haven't gotten any strips up, but I have quite a few storylines in the works.

Those are a few that I can think of off hand. They're all pretty good, too.

Not trying to overtake your topic or anything, but as this is pretty close to what I was wondering, so if you could answer to my question too... As Sidwood asked about musical comics, is there any other comics about vegetables than mine? Since there has been conversation about overused comics, I'd like to know if my 'subject' is too...
I was going to post this as a new topic, but well, let's not waste the space in the board index. :D
"The juxtaposition of form and function wherewithin the corpereal embodiment of this one true, sacred, and pure form is simply an antediluvian spectre harking back to the very epitomy of architecture. I find your work striking...it has panged my heart to the basest metals of my soul.

Remember, simplicity, form, and soul are the keys to success in this field."

Hmm...

Well, not a music comic in general, but i do recall a plot in Stubble when some of the characters form a band. Sadly, that's about it.

My comic will circle around the toronto rave scene and is musically-inspired. In a few comics the story will unfold and that will be aparent. :P

Neat. I don't suppose you're a fan of King Crimson? :)
